Randy Reed 0
snappy.Has anyone seen the Pretenders live before? They're going to be at the casino in Aug thought about going for shits n giggles. Might even take a chick.Yes I have and an excellent show. Chrissie has quite the voice but, yeah, take a chick, but uh, let's nottalk about the shits right now.Fear-Driving an hour home taking Miralax evey 15 minutes for 2 hours and getting close to home to find out the expressway is closed down due to an accident.Ugh, 1:45 and I have to stay up till 3 taking the 2nd round of Miralax doses. I'll be so glad when this crap is done. I wasn't allowed to eat all day either so when I wake up tommorow I'm going to eat pancakes. I don't know why but I haven't had any for ages and they sound great, that and bacon and sausage and lots of maple syrup.

Tactical Bear 3
I don't have many clients that play bases, so I'm pretty much done for the year. I spent the last few hours:1) Auditing my books. I went through every wager, made sure it was graded properly, and that every field (date, side on, side against, home/away, line, price, wager amount) was correct, and entered using the same syntax. I only had to change "LA" to "Lakers" about 40 times. And "Derek Fisher **** FACE" to "Lakers" twice.2) Updating my Allowance for Doubtful accounts and Bad Debt Expense. Building an "inventory" model, based on a weighted-average of accounts receivable balances.3) Updating my Balance Sheet (Accounts Receivable/Allowance for Doubtful Accounts, Other Assets; Accounts Payable, etc.)4) Creating a comprehensive Statement of Cashflows. 5) INCOME STATEMENT, MOTHERFUCKERS.6) Building complete profiles of each of my clients based on their wagering history. I am aggregating their preferences, and then running some regressions to figure out each client's ordered set of wagering preferences. There is some chance I'll be expanding next year, and I might need to take on a partner in order to reduce my risk of ruin, so I want to have a complete set of financial statements if anybody wants to do his due diligence. At the moment, I am leaning towards one of the following options:1) Going public. Selling shares of myself to raise funds, and paying dividends whenever I want to capitalize retained earnings. This would be the most fun, but is probably the stupidest idea I have ever had. 2) Letting a partner buy in. For an up-front fee, a partner gets a percentage ownership, and an equal share of both earnings and losses. I'd need to find a reliable partner with a liquid reserves. I'd make something for all the trouble I went to building relationships with my clients, and the ongoing responsibility of handling day-to-day operations. I would probably need a way to let the partner out of the arrangement. Buy-out? Opt-out clause? I thought I had a third idea, but I am kinda sleepy.

It never ends. Now that I am working full time, I understand the "wooooooooo, it's Friday!!!!!!" concept much better. It's quiet in the office today (because our managing partner scored a HUGE victory in a major trial yesterday) so I may try to hide out in the lounge and watch some US Open coverage. It is also "jeans" day in the office. So that's good.
speedz99 145
5) INCOME STATEMENT, MOTHERFUCKERS.So how'd you do. You know, not actual numbers-wise, but in general. Nikki_N 17
Strat at least has popped in a couple times. Mojo has been silent since she left America. And since strat hasn't even mentioned her name, it seems to me like her absence is willful. But we've had people drift away from the army thread as well. Meh, it happens. You can't make people love you. Just ask Sal.I act pathetic to try to make them stay, but surprisingly, they run even faster.why would speedz name his cat after your mom?if he was feeling REALLY sentimental, he could put the cat into a box, send it to mojo, and let her worry about naming it.I love a good "your mom" joke. That cat would have to be named Schroedinger, for sure, then.yeah, I just have a bunch of pictures of me with beer. I don't have anything anyone would care about anyway. I still just hate the idea of some corporate dewd checkin my shit.I make my profile unsearchable and only viewable to friends. Also, no matter how much I like some of my co-workers, I don't friend them on facebook. Oh, you are misinformed, smoking pole doesn't hurt the lungs. So you guys are back on even ground Vnh, sir. Are you making a decent living wage doing this?Yeah, for the amount of time I put in -- an hour a day on the really big days -- I'm making good money. That is beside the point, though, because I'm not getting paid for my hard work...Even after the disaster that was Game 4, I've still made quite a bit more doing this than I have from my real job. I could probably support myself as a small-time linejockey, but I don't know why I'd want to.

I figured you wouldn't be a trial lawyer, at least not yet I don't guess. then I started thinking, and wondered how many lawyers actually are trial lawyers, and then what the rest do. then I got confused. then I went to sleep. I figured you wouldn't be a trial lawyer, at least not yet I don't guess. then I started thinking, and wondered how many lawyers actually are trial lawyers, and then what the rest do. then I got confused. then I went to sleep.I am not techinically licensed until I pass the Bar Exam, so I cant go to court other than to observe. Most of my day is spent completing annoying research assignments that partners dont want to do. I will also be doing a document review next week which means sifting through about 5,000 emails and flagging those that are relevant to the case.First year associates do all the stuff paralegals can't and more senior attorneys don't want to do. We only have about 8 trial lawyers out of 30. Most of the others handle merger and acquisition contracts for big companies, are real estate lawyers, or defend health care insurance companies (which is a specialized type of litigation). There are also a couple guys who do trusts and estates work (wills and stuff). The work is not all that hard, though, and I am being compensated well. Once I pass the Bar, I will have a few more duties immediately like drafting simple motions, subpoenas, and other fairly straightforward documents to go to court.Eventually, (in a year or two), I will be expected to depose witnesses and maybe handle very straightforward court proceedings. Nobody is really doing much today (everyone is busy celebrating yesterday's win) so I can get away with doing little. Most days I work 9-5....and I probably do "real" work for at least 5 of those hours. Then, at night, I have to do bar exam studying for at least 2 hours so I dont fall behind. A bit crazy, but manageable. Once I pass the Bar, my work load will almost double but I wont have to do any night studying.
