JoeyJoJo 18
You should be. Can we get an update on the leaderboard? I'm guessing I've slipped out of the top 3 after a series of strikeouts.Wang is still on top, but only by the slimmest of margins. Like "go out there and hit a single and you'll be on top" margins. You have twice as many posts as Wang and quantity has value (as long as there is still quality involved; obviously you can't blast your way to the top chrozzo-style).You guys are the top tier.Sal is by himself in the second tier. The third tier is me and Spademan. (I hope people realize that I'm like playing in old Coors field with hyper-inflated stats because I get all my jokes.)Fourth tier is SA21, Scram, LG, loogie, Dutch, vb, BigD, BG, LLY, q, run, beans, jubi, Guapo (in no particular order). Scram, LG, Q, beans, and run have relatively few posts, so they can move up quickly with a little more posting.Sorry I stole your bit. I was listening to half-sad half-breed music and looking through old threads, when I stumbled upon that gem in Galactic Ray Jetworn's Dangling Modifiers thread, and figured it would be a fun "MYSTERY POSTER" clue, except I'm not sure how the game is supposed to be playedI meant they suck at guessing. Your problem was leaving the link so people could easily cheat.

LadyGrey 6
She's talkative...not all the time, just when she has something specific to say. Oh, yeah, she's a she...I guess Cheeto sounds a bit like a boy's name, and orange females are rare, but she's a girl. The final guess at the animal hospital was that she's 1/4 Siamese, which explains the talking and maybe the color. Dewey, while not a huge talker, runs around meeping* when he's fired up.I mostly refer to everything as male by default, not sure why. That's interesting about orange females being rare, I hadn't thought about it. Spike was an orange male and all his brothers and sisters were black and white like Dewey, I always wondered why. speedz99 145
I love lampshade cats...they always look so miserable. I mostly refer to everything as male by default, not sure why. That's interesting about orange females being rare, I hadn't thought about it. Spike was an orange male and all his brothers and sisters were black and white like Dewey, I always wondered why. The reason red females are "uncommon" is that, statistically, the number of red males is equal to the number of tortoiseshell/calico, patched tabby, and red females. Red males and tortie/calico/patched tabby females can be produced when only one parent has the red gene, but to produce a red female, you must cross a red male with a red/tortie/calico/patched tabby female. That is why red females are uncommon. But not "impossible", in the sense that a male calico is "impossible." It's science!

Tactical Bear 3
Alright, Speedz. I quit. I was really hoping I'd be able to pull away by a good margin by posting relatively frequently in the last week, but apparently your dogged determination means I'd have to keep up this wretched pace to stay ahead of you. I don't want to post this much in OT. I just want to be: winner. (Those last two sentences would be awesomely bad rap lyrics.)

Randy Reed 0
I sold an older cash car to guy yesterday that I was planning on taking to the auction vs. retailing since it was pretty rough. The guy wanted to buy it as-is so I told him about a few of the known issues, one being the passenger air-bag was inop.He said, "Cool!"Me "**"He said, "No witnesses"
Tactical Bear 3
You just need to revise your VOA calculation to give PostCount less weight.Well, either that or: you need to revise your standards and be a little more stingy. To be honest, I think it's a pretty good system. Speedz posts so much more than me, and he's consistently good, so he should be more valuable than me. It makes sense that I have a hard time keeping up. What he lacks in style he makes up for in tenacity and sheer force of will, which is just as it should be.
Sickinfo2 291
oh yeah, beans, didn't you post a canouflage tutorial in here somewhere? I've been thinking about trying my hand at it to make some for some friends.I dont think so.... its actually a pretty dangerous process involving a large bandsaw Back when I first experimented with them back in the mid nineties, several folks refused to enter the shop if the saw was running. The blade likes to catch the thin aluminum and if youre not careful it will jerk it into the machine along with your fingers. Ive only been nicked a few times, but since Im quick as a cat it just throws the can at high speed in random directions Heres a quick tutorial in case you wanna try it....Remove the pull tab and push the "door" that it opens all the way inside the can with your pinkie. Make sure it folds up and against the top of the can. The saw blade will hit it and hang up if you dontNext cut thru the top of the can just under the top rim. Go slow at first and speed up near the endThe bottom is next, cut thru the can about an eighth of an inch below where the taper starts. It will fall off in two pieces, a ring and a domed circleNow the scary part.... the side cut. This is what separates the men from the boys..... hold the can with both hands, set the can on the cutting table, and hold the top toward you at a forty five degree angle. Making sure the can is firmly held against the table, start the cut at the bottom and tip the can forward to progress the cut. You have to gently spread the can apart as the blade progresses or it will hang up and ruin your dayOnce the blade is thru, leave the can sitting upright and turn the machine off to remove it from around the blade. Once you churn out a few thousand of them you can leave it running like I do, but its a risky maneuver for an amateur Take a look at one I sent you and copy the cuts exactly. I didnt remove the bottom on my first proof of concepts but the cano tended to open up at the top when a beer was insertedBelieve this or not, but a few days ago I was thinking about sending you a few more. I know from experience that after a while the paint wears off and they accidentally get discarded. I also carry six or eight around in the glovebox because folks always want one when they see mineLook for a package in a few days

El Guapo 8
I sorta know my way around a band saw, and I am never ever attempting this. I enjoy my fingers, and my wife used to.

I thought I saw something online about using one of those can openers that opens the can on the side not the top? maybe I'll try to find one of those and see if that'll work. I drink so many different kinds of beers that I'm gonna have to buy one of every damn kind of soda made to fit them all. I'm such a snob.I'm scared again.

speedz99 145
Really taking MDG's advice to heart I see.I had some time to think about it, and I realized that he was right. I know I've only been with this girl for a few months, but I think I'm ready to propose. No offense, but I assume this means I'll no longer have any time for you jokers...I'll be too busy doing laundry and washing dishes. But don't worry, I might pop in once in a long while to chastise those of you who aren't doing the same. Also, I shall donate my testicles to charity.

When the wife and I were in Spain, we gorged ourselves on tapas for 10 glorious days. Delicious. Good luck with your upcoming classes.
