gamby20 0
last night i was playing a home game, i was holding 9-10 of diamonds and the flop comes down K 10 2 of clubs, so i lead out and bet trying to win the pot right there with a half the pot size bet, my buddies wife calls and another guy folds, now i thing she has a big club or a king, and of course the next card is an Ace of spades, now i know im loosing so i check pretty much giving up the pot, but she checks, the river a blank, i check again and so does she, i show pair of 10's and she shows 7-5 of hearts and i take the pot(in shock) then i ask her why she called my bet on the flop and she said i thought you were BLUFFING. thanks for the pot

Hyaku-Shiki 0
sorry, but i must protest.the first person to act may check or bet.if they check, the next person bets.if that person bets, the next person may fold, call or raise.if the original person bets, the next to act may fold, call or raise.a person cannot reraise a single bet (they can only raise).and a person cannot raise if no one has bet before them (they may only bet).yes i'm being anal since you described the action otherwise clearly, but people don't always accomplish the latter.danielp.s. i HATE j6oNo need to apologize, I completely understand. I was in a rush to post it because I had to leave to class in 5 minutes.

Hyaku-Shiki 0
Daily home game with 3 other close friends. I have great reads on everyone at the table because we've played so often. In this game, I play very fast aggressive loose pre-flop. This way, I end up stealing 80% of the blinds. I see pocket 6's. I bet heavy pre-flop after the blinds. I get a caller and the blinds fold.Flop: 4 7 QI don't think my opponent has a Queen so I push all-in. He says, "I know I'm beat here, but I'll call."He flips over pocket 5's.Turn is a blank. River is a 5.I asked him why he called when he knew I was ahead (representing the Q).He says, "I had a feeling."

Hyaku-Shiki 0
$10 buy-in tournament with 8 players. Early into the tournament, there is a bet, raise, re-raise and an all-in.The player on the button fidgets for a bit (there were 3 other people after him left to act in the hand) and mucks his hands towards me and says, "This is a great lay down." I look down at KJ offsuit. I compose myself immediately and nod appreciatively as the game continues. Later on, the player to my right has not played one hand all night. I fold after the blinds are posted and he bets his entire stack (he was being blinded off the entire night with the cold deck). The same button player looks down and calls. The tight player flips up pocket 6's and the button shows KJ offsuit. River is a Jack. He pumps his hand in the air and says, "#$%^ all of you! HOO-YEAH! I knew it!"I eliminate another player and we're heads up. After trading blinds for a bit, I see pocket Kings and I raise 3x the blinds (which is substantial at this point). He has been betting heavy pre-flop with very marginal hands the entire game (as in, any hand with a face card, regardless of position). He raises a little, and I go all-in to push him off whatever garbage hand he's overplaying now. He looks down at his cards and he ponders for a while. He is slightly below me in chips but he mutters to himself, "I'm pot committed, I call."He flips over KJ offsuit.
Dirty_Flop 0
3 people in the pot, I raise 4x BB w/ KK. Donk calls with Q9 soooted.Flop 9-6-3 rainbow. He checks, I bet 200 into a pot of 300, he calls. Turn 4. He checks again, I bet 500. He calls.River dreaded 9. He bets 200 (??) and i call for about half my remaining chips. (knew he had the 9 but had to see it for such a small bet)Anyway the donk says "ha! knew u had an overpair! Next time bet more preflop!"Me - "Oh really, so then how do you justify calling 500 on the turn if you think I have an overpair?"Donk- "I had the right odds. 6 outs!"Somehow I fight back with a little luck and end up beating the censored heads up. Never been so happy to win a 10$ tourney!
augmented 0
playing a 1-2 cash game. i have like 55 bucks in front of me. in middle position i limp with 76h. a few more people limp, to the big blind, a loose aggressive player who basically overplays everything, and he raises it 8 more. thinking i'll double up if i get something, and i'm getting 2 to 1 and probably better, i call, as do a few others.flop comes Q86 with two hearts. the guy bets the pot and since its a cash game i figure i'm at least 50 percent here with pair and flush draw, so i jam for my remaining chips, like 8 more bucks. he calls. turn comes 3 and river 7, i show my two pair and he mucks. he then starts berating me for being a huge fish, and i type "eh, i'll take my 15 outer". and he was like, "yeah, i bet you were getting good POT ODDS too right?" and i say, yeah i guess so, i had plenty of outs. "yeah? well how many outs did i have?""well, i don't know what you had""i had A10 how many outs?""um, 4?""youre such a loser, calling with that garbage""i'm not the one who threw 50 extra dollars away on the flop""shut up loser"and he leaves. Cheppa 0
This is one of my favorites. The game is a 5/10 no limit live game:An under the gun raise of $20 (player A), the next players fold, then a re-raise up to $60 Total (player B), every one else folds except the small blind who calls the $60 (player C). Player A re-raises to $180, Player B goes all in for about $260, Player C and Player A both call.flop comes 8c, 5,h, 8d. Player C goes all in for $110 more. Player A calls.Player C proudly says A8 (off suit), Player A shows AA, Player B of course shows KK.The turn comes a K and Player C says,"lucky @#$%'s!!" Well at least I get the that money (side pot)!! BOOM river brings the case Ace!!!!They guy flips out, and says you both got very f$%ing lucky.Player B says to Player C about five minutes later, "That was a gutsy call a few minutes ago"Player C, the fish replies, "Well, I had A8!! Have to play that!! I would have won but he got lucky!!"Those guys are getting harder to find
