Heres a beauty...Im in a local card club, the guy to my left has been losing buy in after buy in, hes pretty pissed. Hes also a bit drunk i think. Anyways, after one hand where there wasnt much action it gets to this big preflop action hand. The guy on my right folds, as do I, since we both have crapola. So the board comes 10 6 6 rainbow. The guy to my right starts swearing under his breath. I figured maybe he folded 10 6 or something and is frustrated because of what flopped. He turnes to me and says, "dammit man, I had 10 6 the last hand, if I had had it this hand and called to see the flop I wouldve had a full boat." I just looked at him, stunned.

By the way the AnhCung guy bet pot 4 out of every 5 hands pre-flop, so this is why I played my 9's so strong. After the river I'm thinking, good if my 9's weren't good my top 2 pair is almost certainly good. After the river when i say ummmmm ok, he says "What, look at all the draw I had. " AnhCung is at seat 1 with $24.55. danlux is at seat 2 with $34.20. mavromeister is at seat 3 with $59.10. Mickstirme is at seat 4 with $0 (sitting out). The button is at seat 4. AnhCung posts the small blind of $.25. danlux posts the big blind of $.50. AnhCung: -- -- danlux: 9h Qs mavromeister: -- --Pre-flop: mavromeister calls. AnhCung raises to $2. danlux calls. mavromeister calls.Flop (board: 4s 9s 7h): AnhCung bets $6. danlux raises to $16. mavromeister folds. AnhCung goes all-in for $22.55. danlux calls.Turn (board: 4s 9s 7h 6h): (no action in this round)River (board: 4s 9s 7h 6h Qh): (no action in this round)Showdown: AnhCung shows 4h 8h. AnhCung has 4h 8h 7h 6h Qh: flush, queen high. danlux mucks cards. (danlux has 9h Qs.)

It took me a few days and multiple viewings, but I've finally read EVERY single post in this thread. As far as my stories, mine aren't as good. I'm an ok player, but by no means an expert. I'm better now than I was a year ago, but back then I thought I was twice the player that I am now. The better I get, the more I realize how far I have to go.Thing is, my friends are HORRIBLE. I don't think I was ever that bad, actually. When we play home games, I go nuts since I can't adjust well enough to play them. Most of them play like crackheads, so it's no longer a game - it's strictly gambling. I mean - when the 2nd place chip leader goes all-in with 7,9 suited and 5 people call him, you know it's bad. Since they trade chips back and forth through multiple all-ins, I try to bide my time and wait for a good hand. Take this hand for example:The cards were dealt and there was the usual amount of preflop raising and reraising. I forget the exact flop, but there was an ace, king, and a blank. 2 of the cards were suited. There was about 4-5 people in the pot, and another round of heavy betting followed. The turn was a 10, making both a possible straight AND flush possible. Once again, heavy betting with one person folding. The river was another 10, making the board even scarier. Check, bet, call, reraise, call, call, raise....etc.Finally about 3 people were all-in. I think the winning hand was trip 10's. My crackhead friend to my right showed his hand to be pocket 4's, with no flush draw possibility. I lost it. I looked at him in shock and asked how he could possibly have stayed in that pot for so much cash and thought those 4's were good. His response?"Well, I got a pocket pair! I mean, you can't fold those!" Another time we played, I held AJ and the board was K,Q,x,x with maybe 2 suited cards. I checked, someone bet, and someone else reraised big. It was roughly the same type of play, but I couldn't justify calling most of my stack with ace-high and hoping for the straight. I folded, only to see a 10 come up on the river. I think the winning hand was a pair of queens. I was semi-disgusted, and made the mistake of showing what I had. Everyone was amazed that I folded "a winning hand" even though I didn't have near the odds needed to draw for it on the turn. One guy that nobody knew real well (who was knocked out of the tourney half an hour before this hand and was playing PS2) peeked over and saw the result. He said, "You know, sometimes you just have to learn how to be aggressive and play those hands a little smarter."My response was, "This, coming from the guy who's been playing Madden 2006 for the last half hour? Thanks for the advice."

While watching King of Vegas when Chainsaw and Williams went head up in the "texas holdem death match" After Chainsaw had raised with A5(i think) and Williams went allin with A3(i think) he states"That guy is a moron, he just see the ace and thinks its a good hand. Moving allin there is suicide".....because when your playing heads up and an aggressive player raises from the button, you should just call with a hand that 4 times outta 5 will be the favorite and play from behind, and out of position the rest of the hand.....Also during the craps part, he said its the only game to play and was telling people to throw in the middle, like when the point was 8 he said they were stupid because they should put money on the hard 8....yeah, get paid 30-1 and something thats a 36-1 shot......brilliantThen he called that one chick stupid cause she went allin on the field even though she was way behind and it was really her best chance at catching up.Finally during craps he called everyone betting on the 7 stupid...because if your playing in a craps tournament, where only the winner is safe. You should bet WITH the chip leader, so you gain no ground whatsoever. And is that wayne all guy annoying or what. When that chick raised from the SB with AQs and Williams came over the top and she called, he acted like it was the play of a century"What a call!"....yeah calling an allin in a 3-handed game from a very aggressive with AQs when you have him out-chipped 2-1 is incredibly difficult.ok....im done

heads up in a 20 man SNG, both me and the other guy are about even at 10K each and the blinds at 100/200 (yeah i know we got to heads up fast) one of his friends in the chat goes "Man these blinds are small, with your chipstacks you guys should be playing like 1000/2000." To which his friend replies "yeah, this is gonna take forever." 3 hands later he tried to slowplay a set of 7's on a 6 7 9 flop. Turn was a 5, and my 98s was good for the straight and he missed the river

Ok, normally I don't post but I will make an exception in this case. I usually play live MTTs or sit-n-gos but last night I decided to play 1-2 LHE at a B&M. I know my first mistake was playing at that level.Anyways I make a joke after folding 7-2, when the flop came 7 5 2. Of course I wait till the hand is over. The person directly to my right says "That is why I always play 72. I have seen the flop come with 72 way too many times."So my thought is great I can't wait to take your money. So a couple hands later I have AQ on the button. There are three people in the pot including the guy to my right. I raise, the blind calls and the guy to my right calls. The flop comes Q75, Blind bets, donk calls and I raise. Blind and donk both call. River comes J dont know suits but it was rainbow. Blind bets, donk calls, I raise. Blind folds and donk calls. River comes the mighty 2. Donk checks I bet, he calls. I show my AQ for top pair. He shows 72 for two pair. That brings me to my next topic. Normally hands do not affect me, but this hand completely put me on tilt and I am still upset about it today. Any ideas to get off tilt? Thanks
