sholden 0
You'd think rather than relying on honesty in hollywood and phone conversations you'd both sign a piece of paper with "The undersigned agree to split any winnings 50/50 in the 2006 WSOP main event".I mean it's only $12 million. Sure a simple "oh OK" on the phone, that'll do fine...

grocery_mony 8
maybe there will be a silver lining to this and the big circuits will require any deals or staking arrangements to be officially registered before hand. it speaks volumes that he hasnt picked up his money yet. JadeTiger 0
Gold should move to instanbul and sell dates and figs under the pseudonym 'Tolga Serkan'. What a d00che!
Balloon guy 158
If you should ever win a big chunk of money like this, DO NOT take it right away. Take a little while and find out the best thing you can do regarding taxes etc.The little time you spend finding out the best advise can save you hundreds of thousands of dollars. TopJimmy2U 0
Any one think this is just a marketing scam by Bodog.... They get there name in the paper and all the publicity.... then Gold comes out and says he was going to pay the guy, but his friend got scared that he wasn't going to get paid....Just a thought
Stylin_Fish 0
I really want Bodog to do a bet whether this guy will turn up dead one day in the near future. They can give oustanding odds and then say "oops, sorry it was a typo, you will be refunded your money, that is all Thank You"
terradawg 0
i think there is a chance the statute of frauds comes into play here. basically, if a contract is for more than $500 the contract HAS to be in writing. if gold can use this defense then he should be successful. not sure about NV law though... leftygolfer 7
Crispin Lesyer is an instructor at the WPT boot camps. He and hs wife Jules ( a real hotty) were very good instructors. It was funny, however, to hear TJ Cloutier disagree with their commets.http://www.wptbootcamp.com/trainer.php?id=
