Nugzy 0
Bloch getting a penalty for spotting marked cards is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I hope he does call Gaming Commission just to be a pain in the balls. I think everyone at the table should have stood up for him. And then to not give Annie a penalty? What the hell is going on? Kid DynOmite 0
inapprpriate conduct? I be pissed to, 50k buy in and there using used decks? talk aboutt ridiculous.ok, for what the tourney directors deem to be inappropriate conduct. I happen to agree with you. my observation stands as being funny
chester97 0
Plus they are taking $2k from each person to run the event. This is a joke.obviously that's not enough if they can't afford new decks. if only they'd have taken $2020.00, then all of this trouble could have been avoided.
tobytobey 0
I'm officially rooting for Mr. Kotter! That's right, Gabe Kaplan has ponied up $50K and is playing in the Horse Event. No word as of yet if AJ Benza (sp?) is railing him.
Johnny Lately 0
I curently live in Cape Town and have tried 3 ISP's (My own wireless one, my mother - laws ADSL and a friends ADSL , different, ISP) and none of them will load cardplayer.com over the last 4 days - no great problem normally - ...but I would love to read the live updates on the site. Would someone mind posting the direct link to the cardplayer domain live updates page for the H.O.R.S.E event. I don't understand it (the technical aspect) at all as despite S.A.'s internet being generally slow and pricey (I survive on a 500k connection which costs me $150 p/m) as I can dl/stream every other U.S. based site like Daniel's video blog with no problems. RyDoc21 0
Honestly...I can't believe they're using used decks. What a joke. The World Series needs new management....there are so many problems this year...the stakes are just too high for the common sense mistakes that have been made to proceed. Nugzy 0
With the deal they probably have with Copag/KEM (whoever theyre using this year), they should retire decks immediately after a tournament is over. They make too much money to have to start recycling decks for WSOP events. Even plastic cards get marked after 12 hours of play.
moneymanbc 0
Is all of this a limit event? No PL or NL? Or PL for Omaha and NL for the hold-em part?
Suited_Up 2
Is all of this a limit event? No PL or NL? Or PL for Omaha and NL for the hold-em part? That's how the game works. So yeah.
Johnny Lately 0
That's how the game works. So yeah.I believe Limit in everything 'til the final NL HE final table.
dansheetz 0
That's how the game works. So yeah.Yes, HORSE is a limit game. But for some reason, they switch to NLHE once they reach the final table. I think it's dumb, but I guess it's hard to cover HORSE on TV.
jooka 0
Is all of this a limit event? No PL or NL? Or PL for Omaha and NL for the hold-em part?limit till the final table then its NLHE.
tallytownFSU 0
Is it just me, or would any of you rather pay the $29.99 for THIS final table other than the main event FT.I also wish the fcuks up in the office hadn't made the bonehead decision to make the final table NLHE. All games, all throughout.
Suited_Up 2
I believe Limit in everything 'til the final NL HE final table.Well yeah.I don't think that was really what he was asking though.I meant HORSE... The game itself, not this mutated WSOP version... Is all limit.

jooka 0
This time there are marked cards at John Hennigan's table as he pointed out a bent Ace of spades. Doyle Brunson and Scott Fischman both voiced their concerns that the table needed new cards and the situation was "terrible." Fischman commented on the situation that "All the cards are marked." What the heck is going on?!? used cardssupposedly they take out 4% of the buy in which is a good deal of money considering its a 50k buy in and they cant buy new cards for every table!Come on RIO stop being cheap and get the guys new cards! Foulky 0
How about reviewing some ESPN tapes and finding the buttheads that are doing it?You want them to look at tapes that follow these decks from when they were first used until now and see how they got marked? I think you're getting confused. No one intentionally marked these decks. These decks were already used, obviously many times before and are showing some wear and tear. Using used decks is a mistake that can happen through human error, and I can see why Andy got a penalty because he argued with an official, who should probably be canned for yelling at Andy in the first place, but you cant treat floormen poorly. But the fact that after several complaints they are still using used decks is absolutely absurd. How hard is it to go get a few new decks of cards? This is a casino and this is the WSOP!
