Poker Endurance World Record

Recommended Posts

For those who are interested, I have started a blog detailing my journey to set the world record for consecutive hours of played poker. The address is at www.pokerworldrecord.blogspot.comAlong with the world record I will be making another big announcement later this summer when the record will be attemted. I think this other announcement might be enjoyed by all. No, the record is not another attempt at playing poker full-time, even though I might. The announcement has to do with something tangible.Hope all is well.mcwww.pokerworldrecord.com

73 hrs is the "official" word record............Personally, I know of a player who surpassed that mark at least 10 times last summer - nearly every week in fact.the longest session I saw him play was 121 hrs.......after which he was so delerious he was asked to leave. After his car wouldnt start, he fell asleep in it (with the windows up - couldnt move them since they were power windows). This was the hottest day of the year and he nearly died in his car in the parking lot.Amazing but true...........there are hundreds of witnesses. The casino contacted Guiness, but in order for him to get into the record books he would have to do it again with officials there. He is still yet to decide if he will undertake this.

yeah there are a bunch of dudes that I used to play with at Hollywood Park that would have been there for 3 or 4 days when I was getting there for a 5 or 6 hour session...and I would play with them....gladly taking their money :club:

73 hours is nothing. I have surpassed that every time I have been to vegas. In the original world series of poker, Johnny Moss and Nick the Greek played for like several months straight. I'm not sure how often they took breaks, but I would imagine they did way more than 3 days at a stretch.

Thats what I'm saying!

Hmm...that's a lot of hours for sure. Two things:1. Assuming you can stay awake that long...How are you going to ensure that you don't bust before the record is made. I'm not saying this to insult you but if your goal of going pro didn't pan out then busting is a reality (as it is for even a pro).2. Is 73 hours even really the record? Didn't Doyle say he played for 5 straight days once?
