gobears 0
Just back from Los Angeles - went down to Manhattan Beach one night to this place called Hennessey's - had way too many Grey Goose Martinis. Tons of eye candy all over the place as usual - Sal needs to make it down here.I was in LAX and saw someone that looked sorta like Socal. But we all look alike even to each other so I refrained from yelling "SoCal"!Picked up a bunch of hockey players in the FCHL2 League that Strat recommended so I'm doomed.Three Fantasy Football Drafts starting on Saturday and ending on Monday with the sickies league.Guapo, if it's not fun, then just find another FF league or resign as commish and have someone else have the headaches. El Guapo 8
Guapo, if it's not fun, then just find another FF league or resign as commish and have someone else have the headaches.I have some attachment to this league, it has been around for 18 years. Two years ago, there was a bunch of fallout, so about half of the guys are new and it just weird and some are super anal, and other just don't care.

beans-n-icewater 18
Back from a long road trip....Ill ketchup in a few days, but first a few thoughts about a member of the family that passed away this morningThe wife and I circled the cages inside the local animal shelter one evening fourteen years ago browsing the inventory of unwanted dogs. The vast majority were barking, howling, and jumping around the pens except for one pretty tan and white collie. She sat quietly looking at us just above the sign that read "Collie mix... Missy"A few minutes after reviewing the entire building we met back in front of her cage and made the final decision. I say final, but there was never any doubt in my mind that she was the one when I first laid eyes one her. The wife said later that she thought the same thing. The "adoption" process consisted of several pages of paperwork and some sort of background check followed by a couple days waiting period sorta like buying a handgun or something. During this time a snoopy brotherinlaw found the paperwork in my office and started a rumor among family members that we were adopting a child, so I guess you could say that she started off on the right paw and let me milk that one for a few laughs before we told them the truth. The day I brought her home she promptly jumped from the passenger side of the truck and headed at top speed down the drive and two miles down the road before I caught up to her on foot and led her back home. That was the last time I ran more than ten feet and caused the front gates to be closed every time upon entering for a long time. I guess she decided Beansland was better than the pound within a few days because when we returned from a Corvette gathering in Bowling Green Shane had left the front door and gate wide open and she was still here.Zach was a newborn at the time and tagged her with a nickname of "Mimi" since he couldnt pronounce her name correctly. I still remember the day I overheard him tell her "Mimi! Hold still Im tryin to cut your hair!" while holding her tail in one hand and a pair of scissors in the other. One would have thought after numerous incidents like that one would have strained their relationship, but she protected him from many a spanking by refusing to move from in front of him when the switch came out. She knew I didnt have the heart to paddle both of them.As far as dogs go, Id have to say that Mimi has got to be in the top five in the flight hours logged category. Her first ride in my old Cardinal was almost her last when her excitement caused several important levers to move including the mixture and throttle at low altitude. She also like to howl on takeoff while communicating and stuck me with the callsign "Wolfman" at several tower controlled airfields and at least one center between here and Nevada. She broke that habit around the time Donald Roller Wilsons cat escaped its cage at nine thousand feet on the way to an eye specialist in Tulsa. The fight that ensued left me with numerous cuts and gave me new respect for the strength of a Beechcraft airframe. In case anyone is wondering, a Baron CAN recover from a hammerhead with both props feathered in an aggravated stall from four thousand feet. Its a good thing the windscreen was blocking the rapidly approaching terrain with dog slobber and cat hair or I might have just gave up and crashed. Probably less painful. In the last year arthritis attacked her hind quarters, forcing me to lift her in and out of the plane. Old age also kept her lying in the backseat instead of her usual position behind the yoke in the right seat. But she always wanted to go and any words that rhymed with "fly" "takeoff" or "plane" has her tail wagging at the backdoor. Many times I had to go do a few touch and goes just to calm her down after a slip of words at the house. Yeah, spoiled rotten is what she was. I wouldnt have had it any other wayI would say something about being heartbroken, depressed, feeling lonesome, or bursting out in tears several times but that would tarnish my hard earned reputation as a meanie that hates squirrels, cats, and other animals so Im not.FLEX! I wouldn't sign getz for too long, honestly.Even past this year at $8? I understand this year since Anaheim only has 39 games/70 but what about next year? I probably know the least about hockey in that league so it should prove interesting.
loogie 115
A friend just posted an old video of me performing "I'm Not Gay" at some comedy club from about 7 years ago on my Myspace page. I play it too fast, play one too many choruses, look at my strings too much and not the audience enough, and have since added a couple funny parts that aren't in this version... But it was a nice nostalgic journey for me.At risk of internet overexposure, I'll give a link for anyone who wants to see it, it's in the comments section. It's a U.C. not a private school. I had friend who transferred there, that I know did not have 3.8's. Maybe its changed in the past 5 years. Do they take test scores into consideration?
