Gracie, has anyone broken there arm in a televised MMA event?"I was prepared to die in there"shut up.Tim Sylvia had his arm broken in a PPV event. I am pretty sure it was Arlovski that broke it. Ref stoppage.. Sylvia didnt want to tap. You could see the bones break, ala Theismans leg break. it was awesome. I cant recall one that you didnt have to pay to see.also, in the line of best KOs ever, Rich Franklin making Nate Quarry's legs twitch is one that sticks with me.

It was Frank Mir, by the way, back when he looked unbeatable. But yep, thanks for that visual And, as I watch the IFL tonight, I'm reminded: Feel free to TAP! in the triangle. Well, unless you just go out to fast. I've had my shoulder dislocated, on multiple occassions It is very painful. These guys like Fedor and Gracie who will never tap, arrggg, make it hard to watch.Along those lines, that knockout by Jens Pulver on John Lewis .. oh my.... When John hits, it seems his shoulder pops and as he regains consciousness, he can't pop it back in to help himself up/keep balance. It's tough to watch.Anyone who has ever dislocated their shoulder will agree!******************
bdc30 0
The Arlovski fight was beyond boring. You know a fight sucks when the ref says that he's gonna take a point from the "first guy that retreats" WTF is that? Yes, it was insanely boring, but can a ref create his own rules to try and get some action going?? If they want to stand in and dance around for 3 rounds, what's to stop them?? thehidden 0
I just saw the Cro Cop Fight, I was going to watch it but ended up going out and drinking myself and my imaginary friend under the table.I think he can full come back from this loss. I don't know much about the other fighter but wasn't he an underdog? Cro Cop dropped his hands and that's the only reason the kick landed...I think rehab, if taken in the correct mind frame will do wonders for him because it will give him that competitive edge of needing to get back in there and prove he's not over!btw first post in the MMA thread...think i might stop by more regularly!Ira

Cro Cop dropped his hands and that's the only reason the kick landed...CroCop didn't look very impressive even before the kick landed. He was getting worked over pretty good on the ground, and I'd guess he was already behind in points. I don't think he was "that" much of an underdog though, the commentators were ALL saying "don't be surprised if this turns in to a fight here - it's not going to be a CroCop walk"... Dukefanjohn 0
I think Cro Cop went off as a 6-1 favorite. IF Cheick follows Rogan's advice and works solely on his ground game for the next year, he could become quite a fearsome hwt.

Actuary 3
bad idea.Rampage is old Pride. At least for awhile, and certainly this fight, Dana will dictate that UFC reigns supreme.
socalpoker_j 1
This was the 2nd most brutal KO I have seen in MMA since I have been watching. (2nd only to the "power bomb" slam Rampage threw on Arroyo [sp])He slammed Ricardo Arona at Pride Critical Countdown. If he can somehow channel the same fighter he was before his first TKO loss to Wanderlei, I think we could be in for a very entertaining evening in his match versus Chuck. Actuary 3
someone sell me the UFC (73?) which HEADLINE Rich Franklin vs, probably a great fighter-that-I-don't-recall, in IrelandThere are too many fights to be had. Hopefully Dana stuffs the undercard hard.
ol'number7 0
bad idea.Rampage is old Pride. At least for awhile, and certainly this fight, Dana will dictate that UFC reigns supreme.with all due respect Actuary, Chuck is 38 and not known for stellar cardio, and the total domination by Rampage in the first fight was staggering. Not 1 lucky punch or kick, but 13 minutes (if I remember correctly) of pure ***-whoopin. Maybe when the line comes out we can get a friendly side-wager going
Actuary 3
maybe Cro Cop should've been more respectful and touched gloves. ****Ol'number7,No disrespect taken. I'm not arguing Chucks talent, just Dana's pull and desire
seanthecon 0
wow........either way.. i think Tito's career is over if he wins his next fight or not"im going to make rashad my nappy headed hoe on 7/7/07" honestly.. wtf was he thinking? Sportsman ship and hype for a fight is one thing.this is just ****ed.I cant wait for there fight when joe calls Tito an ignorant piece of **** in front of the whole world

Rampage beat the ever loving piss out of Chuck in their fight in Pride. At the end of the fight, you could tell Liddell wanted to quit but just took the beating until the ref finally stopped it...he was a very whipped fighter. He slammed Ricardo Arona at Pride Critical Countdown. If he can somehow channel the same fighter he was before his first TKO loss to Wanderlei, I think we could be in for a very entertaining evening in his match versus Chuck.TY...thought I spelled it wrong and of course I did! Wanderlei is a different type of fighter than Chuck and his style gave Rampage trouble. Rampage matches up stylistically better w/ Chuck than most fighters. Also...Chuck isn't known for his ground and pound w/ elbows etc., so the UFC vs. Pride rules should play almost no factor. Unlike the CroCop fight, where Mirko ADMITS he didn't train enough to defend vs. elbows and NEVER EVEN TRAINED IN A CAGE LEADING UP TO THE FIGHT!!!! (How???? I mean...a ring and a cage are TOTALLY different...how could he not prepare for that????) I am looking forward to this fight and I get a feeling I will be wagering w/ several FCPers on Rampage that day.
Actuary 3
1. Why isn't there "fast reply" on all forums?2. I watched "Fight Science" last night. It covered several of the martial arts. Made me wonder why Kung Fu, Drunken Fighting (think Jackie Chan), or Ninjitsu never caught on in the Octagon.Kinda serious. They made it look so threatening.
bdc30 0
Dana White was on the Ferrall show tonight, fyi if anyone can catch the replay on Sirius. Nothing major as far as announcements, but that guy is cool shit.
