It's also 6,460 hands at 30/60 if I keep winning at 2.58 BB/100 like I have been over the last 11,273 hands. (All the hands in my database.) That's a good week's work if I put the effort in. Two weeks if I don't run as hot. Maybe a month if I run bad.Dismissing it keeps me in a good mood, so I can continue playing good poker, instead of stressing out about the money and possibly going into a tilt spiral leading to BUSTO which would dramatically, dramatically decrease my earning power over the next year or so.

I don't think the poker gods liked this comment very much. I swear to god I didn't tilt at all, and actually felt like I played pretty well, but I still got hit with a 100BB downswing tonight. Just kept getting rivered when bottom pair would make trips against me or I'd make a clever turn raise with top pair and get called by a low pocket pair that hit trips on the river. Pretty brutal. I might just stick to 15/30 for a while since my winrate's better there anyway, and it's a lot lower stress.

Isn't it time to re-adjust the general 300BB/15-20 buy ins bankroll management rules?I play low limits and i had more than one +-10 buy ins days. You play higher limits and lose 100 BBs playing good.I think 300 BBs for limit,15 buy ins for NL thing is history. One needs a much bigger bankroll to play safe.Or am i the the captain obvious?

November Goals:Stay away from online cash games for a while and rebuild BR through $10 sit-n-gos.Make 3 final tables in MTTs.Make the final table of an FCP Strat Tourney. LOL.Avoid 3rd consecutive losing month.Get a legit fantasy hockey goalie!!!

November:Play a lot more 2/4 and 3/6NL, and stay away from 5/10NL. My winrate at these levels are very high, and it's very low at 5/10. (44 BB/h 2tabling is sustainable right?)Play a lot of tournies. I know my goal last month was to not play many, but I have read most of HOH since then, and feel my tournament game has improved vastly over the month.

pokerprophecy.com tells me that I have an almost 50% ITM in about 45 $12 Turbo SnGs on FullTilt, so I think I'm going to try to get in another 30-50 of those in the month of November. I figure I should be able to put together a minimum ROI of 25-33%. I may also try to get in 10-20 Turbo $16's on Stars depending on how those go and maybe 8-10 MTTs depending on time. That's pretty much it for online. I'm going to try to avoid online cash games for the month since I've been bleeding money in them of late. I do plan to read the O8 section of SS2 along with re-reading Stud8 and reading the Omaha section. Then, maybe I'll play a little bit of those games at low limits and start to branch out a bit. In live play I'm going to try to get in at least 20 hours and hopefully 3 sessions of 10/20 at the casino.

October goals: Didn't reach them. I wanted to play 10 $4.40's per week, 5 donkaments per week, and 40 $5-$10 STTs, with the goal of 2 $4.40 wins + 8 other FTs, 1 donkament FT per week, and 15%+ ROI on the STTs. I don't keep great records, but I know I fell short of my STT goal (probably played 15-20 per week) and had no $4.40 wins (plenty of FT's, but no glory). I only made 2 donkament FT's (3rd and 6th). Total profit for the month = grocery money.November goals: Play more (I'll go with the 40 STTs, 10 180's, and 5 donkament goal again). Adjust better to the super-tight bubbles at the $11 STTs. Donate 10% of my month's winnings to the United Way to keep my uber-pushy CEO happy. 5% if I win over $10,000. ;)Maybe I'll play some 2/4 limit online again this month. Oh, and go to the CNS two Saturdays this month to either play 1/2 NL or 5/10 limit with my "live poker" bankroll. If I win over $300 on either session, I'll buy into the live MTT there at the end of the month. Lolz @ donkaments.Edited to add: Lolz @ no "live" BR management skillz.

Not sure why I hadn't posted in here yet, but I'd like to bounce back from a semi-crummy October. Hopefully that means breaking through and making a decent final table. I'm claiming the nightly Bodog 30ks as my personal playground. There are some obstacles in November though...namely a good bit of schoolwork.

October was a great month for me practically doubling my BR on 2 sites. I have taken the plunge and will close on a house on Nov 30th and have cleaned out most of my BR. I will be in a serious rebuilding process when I start playing again. My goal is to make around 1K this month on stars through sngs, 180-mans, NL ring, and PLO.

October: Played barely at all, only got in like 2k o8 cash game hands in. I won a decent chunk of change from taking a few shots at NL but mainly just did nothing. I want to have fun with poker again, I think I burned out a bit after playing a lot for me in previous months. My goals for November:1. Have fun again2. Play more tournaments, mainly low stakes and do the stars million if I sat in instead of taking the T$3. Get in enough o8 hands to make it back to goldstar.

iggy, when you play 30-60 SHLHE how many tables do you play?
Just two. If one of them gets HU, sometimes I'll even one-table it. It usually goes quick enough that I still get a lot of hands in, and the reads I gain are really helpful at that level.

I think any more than 3 full ring tables at 30/60+ is a big mistake.Any more than 2 short handed is probably overdoing it too.The margins you're playing for are so small that small drop in winrate you experience by not having detailed reads could turn the balance between winning and losing. That, opposed to the small stakes where i think playing any less than 6 full rings or 4-5 short handed is an ineffective use of your time.

Nope.Get good at multi-tabling and you can 6-9 table without losing anything.
