scottyno 0
I just got this email f rom stars support in response to my question as to whether or not US players are being banned, either they arent full sure yet or more likely they wont admit to beacuse they dont want to cause panicHello Scott,We appreciate and share your concerns about the bill which passed in the US Congress today regarding the funding of internet gaming, as an attachment to a Port Security bill.PokerStars' management and legal team are examining the bill at this time. Until we understand the potential impact of the bill, we cannot comment on how it will impact our players or PokerStars. Please note that the bill includes a 270-day window for enforcement procedures to be established, so we do not expect to see any immediate changes in the ability to transfer funds to and from PokerStars. Also please remember that your money is safe on PokerStars. All player funds are in a segregated account at the Royal Bank of Scotland. As always, we thank you for playing on PokerStars.Regards,NarinderPokerStars Support Team

JMoney2681 0
anyone know whats going to happen to online sportsbettingIt will be legal because Republicans just don't like poker because they always play the Democrats heads up, and they always lose, so they wanted to destroy poker to get back their edge. So sportsbetting is still legit, it's just poker they don't like. Namely razz. Heads up, limit, razz...

kad 0
Its worth noting that all these companies are UK publicly listed stocks. This gives them WAY less room to move. I'll start getting worried when publicly listed companies start closing the doors to the US.

crazyplaya6 0
O Canada! My home and native land!We Stand on Guard For Thee's Poker Interests!I do truly sympathize with the american online players though, and I don't believe your elected officials reflect the majority of the population, which is why this whole rediculous situation has occurred. for once, you can't blame canada, you can blame U.S. elected officials. So sportsbetting is still legit, it's just poker they don't like. Namely razz. Heads up, limit, razz...Folks... you should look at the fact that Democrats supported this as well. Harry Reid (D - Las Vegas) supports this because his precious casinos support this. As a republican, I wrote both my senators and called both of them expressing my opposition to this. What I don't understand is that they (the US gov) can't stop me from playing. They can only make me go through hoops to get money into the accounts. I hope all of these sites allow the US accounts to stay on and give a collective middle finger to the government. The only enforcement the US gov can do is to make it illegal for US banks to do business with these companies. They can't block the IP traffic from the sites.

*Lone*Trout* 0
It's such a sad day to be a republican, and I for one am renouncing my party that I've long been a part of. I'm tired of all their fuckups with Iraq/Bin Laden/Afganistan. And this? This is just disgusting. There's no excuse for this, I'm voting out every single republican I can in the next few elections.I was thinking yesterday, "I'm gonna do something I've never done before, Vote Democrat". I'm done with those morality legislating pricks once and for all. The whole package of swill the republicans (<---not worthy of capitalization) are selling for this November's election is no longer palatable. Anything I can do to slow down GW and his band of Jesus lovin' fucknuts, all the better.*L*T*
