TheCinciKid 0
Only an idiot would carry 1000 in their wallet.FYP.If you're gonna carry that kind of cash some where, which there are perfectly good reasons for, you should definitely have not have it in your wallet. koolromeo 0
a few months ago, i was in alantic city with some buddies for a few days. one of my friends had his roll fall out of his pants while he was in a cab. it was over 2k. he probably was only willing to put 700 or so into play at the tables, but we were there for three days, and i think most people bring at least double what they intend to play with when they go to a casino for a few days. my friend freaked. he was beside himself. he tore his room apart, and told the front desk about it. after a few hours the cab driver found and returned all the money. my friend, who i don't think would have returned thhe money if he found it, was so relieved that it was almost like he found out that the "lump" the doctor found was not cancer. i think this expierence actually changed his outlookon life. if you google atlantic city cabbie finds $2000 you can read the whole story. it made semi national news. mtdesmoines 3
you find a wallet inside a bathroom stall, in it cotains over 1k with a guys photo id, credit cards and such. Do you keep it or return it?Another point -- I don't keep wads of cash in my wallet. It usually goes into my much more reliable and accessible front pocket.
RayPowers 0
Return it without a second thought. Although, I am a big believer in reverse karma, and shortly after I do this, I will be almost assured of being hit by a bus.Ray
Ron_Mexico 4,219
I wouldn't expect to get it back if I lost it, so who knows? Depends on how much cash I have on me at the time. Not sure I believe in Karma, grand idea, but who knows if it works?cant say for sure.
hblask 1
I returned a wallet once with all the cash intact, expecting nothing in return. It turns out the guy was a famous artist who believed in karma, and he sent me one of his original drawings worth $1000. True story. That was a decade or so ago, I don't know what the drawing is worth now.Edit: there was about $70 in the wallet, and it cost me $5 or so to ship it to him across the country. dna4ever 2
if you like this question you should see this movie ....Finder's FeeI really enjoyed this movie, was written and directed by Jeff Probst from Survivor. It is a very simple movie, the entire movie is shot in one room where a bunch of guys are playing poker, but the plot of the movie is ..."After finding a wallet in the street, Tepper calls the owner the owner in order to return it. After making the call, however, he discovers that the lottery ticket inside is a $6 million winner. To add to things, his friends are on their way over for their weekly poker night, and the group tradition is to bet their lottery tickets. When the wallet's owner shows up and joins the game, who will walk out as the winner?"Good simple entertaining flick with nice twists, morals, ethics, etc

My girlfriend kept telling me to open it but i just returned it to the security desk and felt good about it...stupid moralsSee this is where I have a problem.I don't trust $8/hour security guards, and if no one claims it, I feel I should get the money not them.I found a 1/2 carrot diamond ring in a mall parking lot. I called in when I got home and asked the lost and found if anyone had reported a ring being lost. No one had. They kept convincing me to bring it in. I said that I would not but I'd be more than happy to leave all of my contact information with Lost and Found and if someone called in, they can call me. They refused to take my information. I gave the ring to my then gf (baby-momma), she has since lost it and I could care less.As per the OP try to return the wallet. You can do it without turning in to some security guard.
