and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

It is currently a pleasant 71 degrees here in SoFla. Coldest thing on the forecast is 54 degrees on Tuesday night. Brrr.

Also, we got an amnio today. Fetal lung development looks good, so we're go for inducing Sunday night.

This is the best book on 'prison experience' I've ever read.

http://www.amazon.co...k/dp/B00JICUQ32

Lots of things unique to the CA system but this guy completely nailed it whereas most books of this 'type' are written by halfwits with delusional concepts of self-importance, not realizing that they're just repeating the same shit about the joint that is common knowledge at this point. This guy (an attorney who caught a 6'ish year beef for fraud) *completely* nailed it in this book.

First chapter is free here

I read the first chapter and ordered the book on my tablet.

What I'm getting so far, is that all CO's are sadistic ****s.

Thank goodness for urban dictionary. This guy isn't a super great author, or else his editor was terrible, because he doesn't explain 10% of what someone like me needs to understand what's going on. However, the story is so interesting that it's worth looking up multiple words or phrases every page.

EDIT: Wait just a second. Scram, you need to help me along here. How many murders happen in prison? Why are we not hearing about this? It says on page 23/24 that if you are a child molester, rapist, snitch, tranny or anyone else they don't like you get "stomped out". What the hell does that mean? He says later that almost daily he would carry bodies of these people out of the prison as they were arriving. Is that for real? Does every rapist get killed upon entering prison? That doesn't seem possible.

"“Good looking out” I said, repeating a phrase I had heard a few times that day. It’s like saying thank you, but without being a pussy about it. The bizarre was slowly becoming routine as I would now obtain my pit juice and shower shoes from the local Nazis."

lol

pps. What's "pit juice"?

Getting 'stomped out' could just mean a beating but yes, murders do happen with regularity in prisons. You don't hear about it because nobody cares what happens in prisons because Americans are pretty much retards.

Pit juice = deodorant.

I wouldn't last an hour in prison. I'm actually shocked the most with how the prison system itself is perpetuating institutionalized racism. That's so crazy. I didn't even imagine that everything is prison was separated by race. I mean... everything. White only bathrooms. Mexican cowboy only bathrooms. All of this enforced by the guards. Insane.

What are kites?

EDIT: I'm on page 100. That's enough for today.

well timed because i had a little erectile dysfunction issue tonight.

Let me preface this by pointing out that I do feel bad for you, at leas a little

But most of me is now really curious about what fcked yoiu up in the head so much. You got a lot of shit rattling around up there and I'd re love to know that story. On the surface, it would seem you've had a pretty smooth run at life thus far. Didn't grow up poor or struggle in that regard, but I do believe that most people have something interesting in their past. But then again, some don't.

Bottom line, you're a weird dude and I'd love to know why

Made it back from the cruise. Just in time it appears as another ship that was out at the same time came in with a boat load of people affected with the nora virus.

I'll give a quick (probably not quick at all) trip report because I know nobody really cares.

Friday before we left I had a few last minute items to pick up at target along with some things to leave for the daughters. I go up to the cashier, the total is about $125 and my debit card doesn't go through. WTF, theres almost $3,000 in that account. Run thecard again and still decined. No other cards with me so I ask the cashier to hold my stuff while I call the bank. Fast forward to the bottom line which is some ****tard ran around So Cal Thursday night trying to use my card at random gas stations, only one charge went through...for $129, before the bank canceled my card. After convincing the bank rep on the phone that I was who I said I was she released the card enough to take care of my purchase and sent me to the bank branch for a new card. No problem since I was heading there next anyway.

Get the branch, take care of my other business and get a new debit card. Then Saturday morning I go online to check the account one last time before we leave and the cruise had charged the sign and sail deposit, which I was expecting except that it charged a checking account we don't use much anymore. WTF again so I call customer service. Turns out when the branch gave me a new card the day before they did if for the little used account rather than replacing the bad card for a new one on the same account. So now it's 11:45 and we need to get on the road to the port but instead we head back to the bank. It took forever because they couldn't get it through their heads that the account that was affected was from WA not CA. Finally they figure out how to give me a card for the right account, I verify it's working and we're off to Long Beach to get on the ship.

We get on the ship (a ridiculously long process) and spend Sat night and the at sea day Sunday exploring the ship, eating, drinking, people watching and having a good time.

Monday morning we arrive in Cabo San Lucas. They were hammered by a hurricane a couple months ago and were still showing obvious signs of the damage (including our ship bringing in aid) but we had a good time on a catamaran trip around the famous arch then went up to a nice beach area and played in the surf (warm ocean water is the best), drank and ate some good food. There was a shopping trip planned too which turned out to be a "shopping mall" mexican style. Mostly boarded up and closed store fronts and the tour guide took us into a shop that was no doubt owned by his family for tequila tasting. Otherwise it was just a trinket shop for tourists so the whole shopping portion was a waste of time. Back on the ship we had dinner, went to a comedy show, some other show and hung out with some people we had met.

Tuesday we arrived in Mazatlan early. We were the first Carnival ship, and one of the first cruise ships overall, to stop there in a couple of years due to violence from various cartels (including a Carnival tour bus that was robbed) and it was a bit eery as there were police every where including federal police riding around in the back of pickups with M 16's. The town left no doubt that you were in a 3rd world/poor country compared to Cabo but we went to a beach resort that was great. The staff were so excited that tourists were starting to come back that they never let a drink get empty before asking if you wanted another one and they would literally run to get whatever you asked for. The beach was amazing, we met some really cool people and had a great time. Back to the ship for dinner and a show then I spent most of the rest of the night in the casino playing let it ride or 3 card poker since the poker table was vacant.

Wednesday we arrived in Puerto Vallarta which was an amazingly beautiful city. Very modern in comparison to the first two stops. In fact there was a Walmart and Sams club across the street from the dock, but still very mexican in all the good ways. The people there were very friendly and welcoming and it was the most comfortable we felt walking around the 3 stops. We ended up at an all inclusive resort for most of the day that was on one of the best beaches and ate, drank and played in the water until time to head back to the ship. Once at the dock there was a kind of flea market that had permanent structures but obvioulsy catered to the cruise ships. We picked up a few tshirts, dresses and other souvenirs for the family and had a good time. Negotiating should be more of a thing here. I hate shopping but it made it fun to see how cheap you could buy stuff for.

Thursday and Friday were both sea days heading back home. Thursday was really fun since it was still really warm and everyone was hanging out and partying on the pool deck. It was a very target rich environment for both 20 somethings and milfs and was just a great day. Another comedy show then a Beattes production show then the poker game was getting started so I jumped in for a few hours and left up not enough to cover the drinks I had while playing.

Friday was very windy and chillly so we were stuck inside all day looking for something to pass the time. Mostly we hung out in the casino, ate then saw a really good female comedian in the evening.

I had been warned by some that a 7 day cruise was too long. For us it was only one day too long as the second at sea day got pretty boring. My only disappointment was the food outside of the regular dining restaurant (which was great for the most part). The buffet was not open enough hours to be convenient, there was only 1 midnight buffet the whole trip, and the food was the quality of a very average/cheap buffet you'd get anywhere. After 9 pm the only options were a pizza station (just ok) and a deli (very good). I'd always heard about how great the food was on cruises and how much of it there was and this cruise didn't meet expectations in that regard. We will definitely do another cruise but probably not Carnival, just to try other options.

Last wedding of the year yesterday. Ceremony was fine. Food was really good. Probably best if the year. Open bar was just two types of beers and wine. DJ was absolute worst I've ever seen. Just Brvy awful. They also let every member of the bridal party have a speech which isn't a great idea.
