I Called In Sick Today

Recommended Posts

I'm over the 2 month mark with not drinking. Considering I drank close to a 12 pack daily, i'd like to give myself kudos. I don't expect them from anyone else because, well, it' like saying kudos to me for not being a idiot.
Nah man, congrats. That's a huge deal. Great for you. I think you'll eventually even out and if you exercise and eat healthy, you'll probably start to feel healthier and get sick less, etc. Well done for you. It's hard, very hard. I'm anti-social and I still have urges to drink. I drank 6 beers during the Dolphins playoff game, then went sober until Saturday at the Hard Rock, had one lite beer and one screwdriver, just to be social. I didn't even want it, because like you, I'm an all or nothing guy. I want 15 beers or none. I will be drinking tomorrow night for the UFC fight, but I'm basically allowing myself one night of drinking a month, to monitor it and to stay healthy with my working out and diet.Good for you Rando
doesn't ambien like really fuck with some people?
Let me call up my good friend Heath Ledger and find out.
Goodbye. I think I've made a couple of these posts before, but this time, I'll be gone for awhile, for real. If anybody really feels the need to get in touch with me, I'm on facebook, etc. Meh.
oh stop. Being online, and specifically FCP, isn't the root of your problems. Trust me, I was doing the "I'm leaving" routine YEARS ago. You'll be back, another qualude, you'll luv me in da morninIf not, wish ya the best little man. Don't poop on people, apparently, they don't like it.
Depends on your standards. She is cute, in a very typical blonde hair, orange skin, too much makeup kind of way. She's a nice person though, I like her. Very friendly and a cheery disposition.
So the other night I came home and ran the snow blower over the driveway. That night we had freezing rainall night which then turned into about 8 inches of snow. This is the drive the next morning.jeep.jpg

and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

I actually was thinking about it this last couple weeks, out of pure disgust. Its the end of an era IMO, this team is a shell of what it used to be. The defence is bad, and there is'nt much leadership without Billups/Ben Wallace and a rookie coach does'nt help either. Sigh, I don't know if Iverson for Chauncey was the cause but all my fears have pretty much come true so far, the leadership is gone. I think its possible they could turn it around but they need to find some hunger and get their shit together. I'm sure BigDee understands what I was saying a few months ago now.I'm always going to be a Pistons fan, but I loved that team and now I don't know if we will ever get that back. Also I think they should have thrown Iverson to the bench as opposed to Hamilton, keep the core of the team together and let Iverson come off the bench and basically go back to his philly days of being all of the offence with a weak scoring unit.
The Celts fans have been there sir. Remember Rick Pitino? We had Chauncey AND Joe Johnson, and gave them away for pennies. The first quarter was embarrassing, although the Pistons sheer lack of effort bored the C's to the point where they weren't able to put the game away. At least you don't live in Seattle.

I also thought it was funny that you cared enough about your bowl to waste a bunch of time writing a multi-colored note.
the closest place to buy that kind of thing is a 15 minute drive across town and a huge hassle for me. doesn't happen too often, to say the least. plus, wtf, such a petty thing to steal (which is what we logically thought was the case...).

It freaks me out when you post on Strat's account.

I would actually hate to live in a place where there wasn't a drastic change in seasons. I love having a separate Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. If I only had summer all year long I would be a sad duck.

Did Herman actually say why he is going to stop posting? That seems a little weird. Should I be worried about him?

Yeah, really not being able to stop was always my problem. Once I started it wasn't like I got hammered or anything but I would just couldn't stop. I admit I thought it would be really strange not drinking but it hasn't. It's actually been a pretty good thing for me for lots of reasons especially the stairs thing.

In all fairness it is pretty cool looking at times. These pics don't show it well but all the trees have ice on themand at the right angles when the sun is shining it can be breathtaking. Kinda like being hugged by you on a cold night. Breathtaking.ice.jpgICE2.jpg

Picturesque? AbsolutelyInconvenient and balls ass cold? LikelyFor instance, I watch a show called Burn Notice. It's set (or supposed to be set) in Miami. The main character lives in a loft above a club with no air conditioning in plain sight. There is no way this happens. Unless he's directly on the water, he would bake in that loft. Not to mention, people are always wearing jackets and sport coats around, to cover their shoulder holster. Also not a good idea for 7 months out of the year, at least. I'm talking hot.

Wow, really? No posts to entertain me? You guys suck.Although, I will partake in having a social life tonight. I'm going to the local bar to watch the UFC fight with an actual friend or two and have a few beers, maybe some food. MaybeOh yeah, I know everyone is on pins and needles awaiting my Saturday weigh in results. 6lbs lost this week for a total of just over 22lbs lost since January 5th. That's a solid start. I want to lose 15lbs more in February, but that's a bit aggressive, 4lbs a week. What else? Ummm, it's in the 50's here tonight. I love it.
