Theraflu 1,035
Got this TV coming tomorrow: http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-M50-C1-50-Inch-Ultra-Smart/dp/B00T63YUJO Refurb from woot.com, for $400. My current TV is a Vizio refurb that I've had for 7 years with no problems, so I'm hoping for similar success. We shall see.
Tiltinagain 973
Wow Cobalt, you're lucky you ever got the opportunity to make another kid after that comment. You definitely have a great situation for having kids since you're home to take care of them rather than sending them off to, and having to pay for, day care so that's cool. Napa Lite 3,278
I was/am seriously considering getting the 55" model, Thera, to replace my 7 year old 42" LG (that still works perfectly). Someone talk me into/out of it.
Theraflu 1,035
Welp, it is on sale today, right? Join me, Napa, in our quest for 4k viewing options that may never come to fruition. But should, one day, those options become readily available, we'll be there, damn it. I'm going from 37" to 50", so I heartily encourage your 13-inch increase as well. Scroom 436
I like how people still say "flat screen TV's" as if that's some kind of meaningful prosperity indicator.
Napa Lite 3,278
To get to my apartment you have to go down some stairs and at the landing directly to the right is an apartment door and to the left down a five foot hallway is my apartment. When I was moving I saw a large (black) girl come out of the apartment to the right. Today at lunch I went to take a nap and at the bottom of the stairs was two pairs of shoes with the backs stepped on as if they were slippers that I had to step over to get to my place. I hope once they realize someone moved in next door they stop using it as their own personal mud room but I'm not holding my breath. Really hope this doesn't become a thing. Someone talk me into/out of it. There really is no decision here. 42" goes in the bedroom, 55" in the living room. Baller status = on point. You gotta move. This. Really should have done a better job vetting the neighbors for this sort of thing.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
You gotta move. He's right Since when do they have black people in Iowa? Percentage wise, run the numbers on your living directly next to an AA
Ron_Mexico 4,219
Can't wait till Napa comes home, drunk as balls, sees those shoes and FCKING punts them as far as he can, then wakes up the next day, feels bad about it and gives them a pair of his new, unworn celebrity sneakers
Scroom 436
They only understand fear. If you don't make them afraid of you, they will see to it that you are afraid of them. LOL at "I hope this doesn't become a thing". If this is your first brush with 'diversity', you're about to experience many new things...

CobaltBlue 662
Wow Cobalt, you're lucky you ever got the opportunity to make another kid after that comment. You definitely have a great situation for having kids since you're home to take care of them rather than sending them off to, and having to pay for, day care so that's cool. Funnily, we actually went to an open house for a private school this afternoon. They do Pre-K through 12th. My oldest doesn't turn 2 until the middle of next November, so assuming we did that, they wouldn't let her start until then. However, makes little sense to me...might as well wait until January. That said, they make you pay full year tuition to make sure to reserve a spot. So what was originally $795/mo essentially doubles. If there wasn't a spot in January and we couldn't get a pro-rated rate, we could start her in the fall of 2017, but even then, I'm not sold on it. Seems like extra cost and hassle to just watching her at home.
