revolutionary idea

Recommended Posts

I love that the last couple of pages have been posts talking like he's dead or something. Farrell lives on, in our hearts, minds, and the open folding master I played with last night (open folded 10 times in 104 hands, 3 times from the BUTTON). So remember, when you're in the BB and totally miss the flop in a multi way pot, Farrell is looking down on you and screaming "FOLD!!!oneoneone!!"
May have been me. I open-Farrelled several times by accident. Open-farrelled top 2 on the river. clicking to switch windows just as the action buttons popped u. :club: Rough night. I need a bigger monitor. You guys dont seem to realize that the true genius of Farrell is that he engineered the whole thing as a social experiment to view our reactions. Every idiotic idea. Every seemingly egotistical post. Even playing like an idiot online at all hours on the off chance that someone might see him and ruin his experiment if he demonstrated any competence. All to watch us dance like puppets on a string. And you all continue to dance...

I don't like that, though. I'd much rather make the game more polished. I'm not into "gambling" when I flop Aces and Kings. I would much rather "buy insurance" and ensure that I win the pot.

I played limit with farrell. He advised me that I should be playing looser, and that's why i was "down" two big bets since he sat at my table, 20 hands prior. He then made a move to impress the table saying that he plays 10/20 no limit. He said that he's just playing .50/1 to blow off steam. I then pasted the conversation he had two days before that with Actuary about playing .50/1 in order to learn how to play limit. "Wtf? You looked through a forum to find a week old thread?""i put your name in a search and it was the first thread to pop up"All the little dinglings at the .50/1 started belittling him for lying about something so stupid.Clearly frustrated by this, the great farrell put everyone in their place by buying in for his full $700 bankroll, thereby proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's a regular at the 10/20NL tables.
Fucking hilarious!

Do we really have to bump this thread every three weeks? Jesus!I'm getting to the point where I think a mod really needs to lock this. I mean it was funny the first time it was bumped, and mildly amusing the second time, but at this point, it's just ridiculous.

I have an idea. Let me know if you guys think it's nuts, or not. It's just an idea, please do not curse my dead grandmother. How bout this:3-of-a-kind should only beat 2 over-pairs IF the player with three of a kind has a hole-pair.In other wordsFlop is: 3 K A 3 9Player 1: K's + A's (9 kicker)Player 2: trip 3's (with A,K kicker)In this case, player 2 would NOT win the pot. This will not change the game that much, but it will add a bit of strategy. This though came about after seemingly losing in a limit game with Aces and Kings to trip 2's when the board goes K A 8 2 2 and the other dude shows 2 4 offsuit. It is truly an awful feeling. I think this ruling would protect the better players more and protect the novices less. Thoughts?
lol who bumped this piece of crap?
