Ha, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've been trying to suppress my laughter since I posted it...I keep giggling like a kid...I think it's official that everyone in my office thinks I'm retarded.

Makes sense at that limit...However I have a related funny store that I saw while I was playing 2/4 Limit at Caesars in AC. The man next to me who kept showing me cards of course and other stupid stuff and had re-bought a few times would do a similar thing. He had his chips and then cash, which is common in AC (and probably everywhere). When he wasn't sure if he had the pot won, he would through his money on the ground and only go all in with his chips. He didn't get caught, but I was keeping it in the back of my mind to call him out if it benefited me. Well of course he quickly ran out of money and left...

I didn't miss anything. I read what you posted and took it as fact. Even if you are not in the hand the floor has no choice but to hear you out if you wish to discuss something related to the hand/game/player etc.. It doesn't matter if you were in the hand or not. You made it a point to say "you knew the floor" and that is why he listened to you. I simply stated he has no choice. It is not subjective. I do not understand your somewhat negative reply towards me. I said nothing negative to you. All I have to say on this subject.

Just a quick question. Since I mostly play 3/6 and 4/8 limit, my chips are usually only the 1 and 5 variety. but don't the casino's make you keep the chips arranged with the lowest denom on the bottom? No mixing them up? I know the dealers will restack your chips in Blackjack if you try doing anything like this, but I thought the were rules in poker about this as well? Anyone? or am I just wishful thinking here?
No, you can stack your chips however you like.
actually thats not true. your highest denomination chips must always be in the front... and then the next ones behind etc. etc. you must always have the larger chips showing so that if someone were to move all-in against you they know roughly what your stack is ....

You're wrong. First of all, I was talking about a limit game, but even in a no-limit game you don't have "always have your highest denomination chip in the front...and then the next ones behind etc. etc."

Because I think you are an azz.Just to stay "factual" I just called Chris (at commerce), He, They, all floorman do not "have" to listen to anyone but the dealer. If he went up to a table he could make his final decision based solely on hearing just what the dealer had to say. Listening to anyone else is purely at the discretion of the individual floorman and the situation. To back up his statement I just called Denny over at the Bike, he is the Director of tournament personell. I wanted to be sure Chris wasn't telling me what I wanted to hear. Denny confirmed that the decision "can" be made solely on the Dealer's statement. But that he encourages the floorpeople to get the story from the other players involved "in the hand". Your response to my original post was not constructive, it was not commentary, It was purely vendictive to "call me out". You read it and the first think that went through your head was "pfft this guy thinks he better than anyone else" You missed the post (even though you think you didn't). You wanted to call me out to say you are no better than anyone else, just cause you "knew" someone. I was not name dropping, I was tell the story. All "I" have to say on the subject!!!

I was witness to cheater caught in Foxwoods. Although it was for a small amount I couldn't believe how they handled it. Foxwoods has a 5/10 with a kill, so if a player wins 2 hands in a row, he has to post $10 live the following hand. This guy is in the one seat and when he sees somebody raises the pot and he thinks nobody is looking, he takes his $10 off the table and slides the kill button into the dealer tray. I bring it to the attention of the dealer who calls the floor over and they determine that he has to put the $10 back and that's it. He decides to take a flop and makes a straight with 7-4 off and immediately goes to trash talking me. "Thanks for the extra $200, if you didn't help me out. blah blah blah". I know it was just $10 but to me that's a huge disrespect to the players. I wonder if I tried to sneak $10 out of the black jack tray if it would be a big deal?I let it go but if it was me who lost that pot I think I would have gone ballistic.

From reading the OP i'm shocked that they'd even allow you to have 100$ chips on a 100 max nl table. I know at some casinos i've played at the've made you only use 5$ chips and down at these tables, possibly for this reason. Dunno if its standard but its surprising that the dealer wouldnt be smart enough to call the floor when he sees this guy somehow has 100$ chips in his stack when that equals the buy in.

No, I think you get a choice. It's a recomendation because then people who try to steal chips have grab the whole stack or knock over the stack. My cheating story is pretty stupid. At my home game, we keep two decks on the table, one played with, and one shuffled by someone out of the hand to speed things up. Any way, The guy dealing turns over the river card 6d, bets gets called and turns over a flush. Unfortunately for him, the board read 2d, 6d, 7c, 5s, 6d. When I asked him how he could explain two 6d on the board, he had no reply. Nevertheless, he doesn't deal anymore at our home games.

Thanks for the story. I liked it and will re-tell it again sometime at a table if it comes up (which of course it will). Thanks for all the details.Hmm... I have a bunch of good stories now that involve pokerloser. Keep 'em coming.Personally, I kinda hate the $100 max buy in games but, they are just so juicy.

Sometimes anger and insults just pop up out of nowhere in this site. Pokerloser, you are way overdefensive on this. KTW just didn't understand how the fact that you knew the floor person was relevant. I also did not understand it. If you knew him or not, you would still call him over. If you knew him or not, you would still have to explain yourself. That is all. If you thought that he would ignore you if he didn't know you, then you could've explained that when KTW asked why it was relevant. He wasn't being vindictive or calling you out. And why would anyone think that you are better than anyone else because you know the floor person? The flaming around here can be so random.

OK I read the cheating posts and have one to offer as well. But this was in a real Casino, Commerce to be exact.$100 min/max buy-in NL, I am in seat 5, the guy in seat 8 that has been very aggressive but has not had alot of success, up/down, you get the idea. Well he goes all-in and loses so he rebuys, we all know he can only buy-in for $100, 2 hands later, with a heavily painted flop seat 4 bets $25 he re-raises all-in, seat 4 calls him and loses. OK so far. The dealer counts it down and says "you owe $295" seat 4 starts to count it out and I stop the action and say "there is no way he had $300 bucks" everyone looks at me and starts in saying it's right there in front of you. I tell seat 4 not to pay him and call the floor. The floor comes and everyone starts telling the floor "I" am the troublemaker, telling the guy not to pay. Well, Chris the floorman knows me, I play alot there so I think it gave me an advantage to explain why.I tell him the guy just went bust 2 hands ago, just rebought, did not play the first hand and wins this hand and sddenly has $300 bucks. NOW everyone starts thinking about it and agrees with me, it turns ugly for the guy when the whole table turned on him suddenly. The floor asked seat 4 and 8 to not play anymore hands and wait right where they were. 20 minutes passes when the floor and 3 security guards show up at the table and ask very nicely for seat 8 to "come with them" and seat 4 can resume playing if he wishes and does not owe any money to seat 8. he never comes back.Later Chris tells me that after they checked the tapes he had been pulling out $100 chips and sticking them in the middle of his stacks when it looked like he had strong hands and raised all-in, and would pull them off the table when he was weak!!Bast ard
WTF, were u the only person alive at the table! It's a good thing the commerce casino has camera's. It would have been a shame for the cheater to have u bounced for causing trouble!

sometimes i play with my chips all in a sloppy pile in front of me (not in stacks at all) and just bet by grabbing a handful and throwing them out. Very fun to see what people call you with since they think you're a moron.

No they don't care, they are yellow $5 chips and Blue $1 chips and the White $100's keep them however you want they don't care, but if you call or go all-in they count them up "after" the hand is over. He was slipping the whites in the middle of his stack of yellows randomly while playing with his chips.
HEY !!! I think I was at the next table when that happened.....Seemed like all heck broke loose....FYI .....if you see chips in messy piles just mention to the dealer the words dirty piles and he will get them cleaned up.

hey poker loser, what did the guy in seat 4 do after you saved him 300. I imagine he must have given you something for your honesty and efforts??
LOL, actually, he tossed me 2 yellows (10) and I tossed it back, so he bought me a beer with a ton of gratitude and we toasted.
