Maybe you guys don't realize, that they already TOOK THE TIP OUT OF THE PRIZE POOL!!! They take something like 5 percent ( I forget the exact amount) off the top ( this is NOT including entry fee, this is PRIZE POOL). Since they do that, he, along with every player in the field , has already paid the tip. All respect to dealers, and all, but I think dealers get tipped plenty. If you deal 40 hands and hour, and you get tipped a dollar a pot, you're making absolute bank for the job you're doing. I tip 1 a pot in the games I play in, and I often get ragged on by recreational players and dealers for being cheap. **** off. 3 dollars goes inot the rake, and one goes into the jack pot, so already I'm getting murdered by the vig. I hate it when dealers are in the game, and they tip rediculous amounts of money when they win a pot, like 10 bucks. It makes the other players feel like shit, and it takes money off the table. Dealing takes no formal education, and from what I've seen of some dealers, it takes little brain power. I imagine you could train a chimp to deal cards. I'll grant you that dealing some games are harder than others, Limit hold 'em being about the easist, and PL Omaha hi/lo proably being the hardest. But I don't think the winner of the WSOP OWES the dealers shit.

Pretty sure we've already covered this topic in many past threads. No need to get all worked up about it when one person, a new one at that, gets back into it by saying he should have tipped more. gkunit20's post above for all the answer that was necessary.

Yeah Australian casino's don't tip, in fact at the big casino in Sydney, Star Sity, you aren't allowed to tip even if u wanted to. If I could I doubt I would, the majority of dealers there are horrible, there is only a couple who are actually any good.

Screw all the dealers. If i was Hachem, i wouldve tipped them a dollar fifty on purpose and not thought twice about it. They (casinos) make SOOOOOOOOOOO much money off of these tourneys and no one really notices. How much should he have tipped the dealers, and if he did tip them well, would it truly matter. The dealers could give two shits about the guy as it is. OO7 wouldve kicked them down phatty styles though, and anything OO7 does is cool in my book

It's just greed that captivates and takes ahold of anybody around a lifechanging experience. You are a dealer, that is your job. you know what comes with it when you apply for the position. A tip is a tip, not an obligation. Quit your damn crying. If I ever see a dealer rub his fingers together like a hotel, shit will hit the fan!!! (no sw)Joe was one of the most humble people in relation to what he acheived. But people are so thick-headed they think the world is as only big as the US border. They must think we are a bunch of pussies. They see are football with big pads, helmets, players only playing one side of the ball...And to get back to primary topic. Pass da suga' means this is sweet!

I'm glad one american realises what the rest of us think of nfl.Its kind of like baseball too. Most people think baseballers are soft too for a number of reasons. I'm not meaning to flame out your sports. I appreciate that nfl is the most strategic football game in the world, but in other areas, it falls short. But hey, each to their own

Hey Aussie...no offense...but you really need to stand on the sideline of a NFL game and see the speed that these guys are running and hitting at....It's scary....

When will people get it through their heads that it is not an Australian custom to tip?
Probably around the same time that Australians figure out that it's an American custom to tip.
When in Rome....
No, that is not the right use of that.

tHATS RIGHT....i hate the dealers there...i sat down one day i hadn't even played a hand...and the dealer looks at some ugly chick on my table, motions towards me and says "its different from the internet isn't it"....i nutbared my stack and left that HOLE....then went home and played on the INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!! ....NO TIPPING FOR ME THERE..maybe a punch in the face would be more appropriate for Star City Dealers. 8)

How do they tip in the big game? I doubt DN is tossing 1k chips to the dealers every time he gets the sugar passed to him.
they either keep a roll of quarters handy (no joke), tip at the end of the downs, or in many cases dont tip. tipping is not required. it is extra. If i were Joe Hachem, and i had dealers complaining about my tip, i would ask for my $100 back.

Joseph Hacem yelled it at the WSOP after he popped a boner when his opponent moved all in when he flopped the nut flush.
Right before he screamed, "My dick feels like corn!"

It seems only slightly faster (if at all) than a game of rugby (league or union) except neither of those sports have padding.

AHHH...NO...but nice try....the NFL has 6-6 270 pound linemen that run 4.5 40's....and 6-3 255 Linebackers that run 4.4....I doubt that there are any athletes of that ilk in any rugby league....
