Ah, much better. (Left the earlier comments in the thread for continuity's sake, but fixed my sig.)Anyway, after working up my courage, I finally checked my PokerEV graph for the night. Obviously, ran really well, but at least all-in luck wasn't the majority of my winnings.bigsessevgraph.jpg

He has one for hold em as well, I'm beggining to think the delay in PEV is purely down to Simo forcing the developer to make absurd bad luck graphs for him to post on FCP

I've actually been doing a little coaching already. My standard rate's $300/hr, but I could probably work a discount for an FCPer that I know from the forums.Oh, and glad you all liked my graphs. :club:

It's been soo long since I posted in the goals. I'm going to be joining next months goals and I can't wait to get back to the grind. The move to Las Vegas has destroyed me financial and forced me to start over. The plan looked so good on paper and in my mind but when it finally happened so many things went wrong. I wanted to move down there and work while I play cards, like I did in MN. I couldn't get a steady job and I couldn't play cards. Maybe the worst part of it is being looked at as a failure by my peers.Since I've been back I've heard this a lot, "So you couldn't make it down there gambling??" It puts me on tilt.I lost 10k in the entire thing, which was my bankroll and checking account. I'm also roughly 3k in debt. I've been back in MN since July 6 and have been working at getting a job. I start working tomorrow for my old employer, a farmer in a neighboring town. Last time I was grinding I mainly played live at various underground games and local casino but this time I'll be putting my focus to playing online. I'm getting PT3/HUD and a subscription at Card Runners or Deuces Cracked. I'm going to deposit 1500 and start at .25/.50.This got a little long, but I mainly want to say that I'm excited to join this thread again.Ps. Sick graph Iggy.

i don't think 10k is enough to try to do that. i am used to living very cheaply and i would want at least 25k saved up. i think most people would want even more.but really, tell your peers to shove it. how many people go out on a limb and try and take a risk and shoot for the moon? even if you didn't make it that in and of itself is something to be proud of.

Yeah, that's one thing I learned about the move. I want at least 6 months of living expenses in my checking (like 10k), and whatever my bankroll is at the time. I agree that 25k is a good amount to move on.

HEM holdem manager if you play holdem , it least till Simo tells me different.
I'll save him the trouble.
Wait for PokerEV. It should release some time this century (maybe) but I promise it'll be worth the wait.
is what he'll say...

If it helps inspirationally, I was ~8k in debt when I started waiting tables and playing .05/.10 NL with $25. Within 4 months, I was able to quit waiting tables. And eighteen months after I began playing, I was no longer in debt.

That's awesome! How much volume did you put in over those eighteen months? What limit were you playing at the end of that stretch?I moved up to 1/2 (LHE) again this month, and have finally taken my brain off off autopilot and started paying attention. I feel like I'm playing much better the last week or so. I played some 6-max at .50/1 and even some heads-up to get me out of the rut I was in and get my brain thinking about poker correctlvy again, instead of just playing my same old game. I guess I spent so much time at .50/1 the last 4 months playing without thinking much and still killing it, that I had lost some of my poker brain in the process.Made silver star again on PS. I'd like to shoot for Gold next month if I can stay at 1/2.

I'd guess that I played 100-120 hours per month of mostly 3-tabling...so maybe ~16k hands per month. At the end, I believe that I was probably playing .50/1 and 1/2 NL and taking shots at 2/4 and 3/6. Was also playing 5/10 and 20/40 on the Limit side.

So what tournament did you luckbox? :club: On the real though, it's cool of you to share that with me. I think by the end of the year I'll be in a good situation.

Yeah, I expect with the amount of work/dedication I'm putting in I'll be at 1/2nl in a couple months. FWIW I'm very confident in my ability to get there, I just know it's going to take some time.I just got rake back for the first time which is going to help if I play 50nl hu. Too bad it's at the worlds most proven rigged site.
