XXEddie 0
The NHL Outdoor game has jumped the shark.I think the once a year Winter Classic is fine, but if they want to do one with only Canadian teams then they shouldn't broadcast it on VS. Do it on CBC with bonus coverage on NHL Network. Hockey still isn't super popular in the US and airing games like that doesn't seem to attract the average viewer.

ajs510 122
The NHL Outdoor game has jumped the shark.I enjoyed it, yesterday was a good day for hockey with games starting at noon and running for 9 hours. I watched the Sabres, Blackhawks and the Heritage. Really hope they don't decide to do any more than two games per year outdoors, one would be preferable but I don't have a problem with two. It's a cool thing to see and twice in 1230 regular season games isn't too many I don't think. As long as the NHL doesn't screw up a good thing by making these games less of an event, I say keep having them. I'd be heartbroken if they didn't do the Winter Classic every New Years Day, it's such a cool event and I get geared up for it every year.
ajs510 122
Terry Pegula's press conference was like Christmas morning for Sabres' fans..his big quotes (paraphrased from memory):"Starting today, this team's only purpose on earth is to win Stanley Cups. And yes, I said Cups.""Starting today, there will be no financial restraints placed on my hockey department in pursuit of the goal to win Stanley Cups. The shackles are off.""If I want to make some money, I'll go drill a gas well. I'm not running a hockey team to make money."

And I bet he makes more money running the franchise than he would have otherwise. I think a strong franchise in Buffalo could be beneficial to the league, since Buffalo is basically Canadian, but still will be on US networks.

gruven 530
Komisarek was a stud on the blueline until he was injured in the fight with Lucic. He also had Beauchemin syndrome: he played MUCH better when he played with Markov. Beauchemin was MUCH better when his partners were either Neidermeyer or Pronger...
