jonmarc 0
Now I can understand if you live in an area that is no where near a card room and want to play poker for money. However if you live near a card room I see no point of it. I play regularly at the Commerce, Hustler, and The Bike in LA and I thought there was more than a regular amount of bad beats going around the medium limits. That is until I played online. I thought I would set up an account and play when I had time off from work or down time at home and didn’t want to drive out. Its worth the damn drive.I was used to bad beats for play chips but I thought that would fall off when real money was involved. Boy was I wrong. I burned through a few hundred in a day or two playing 8/16 to 10/20 on Full Tilt before doing the wise thing and cashing out. So my point is. If you live near a card room why on earth would you risk your hard earned money at a place that is apparently known for bad beats? Please correct me if I am wrong.

SweetDaddyFreak 0
Remember higher limits are tougher online than in real life and with only a few hundo at 10/20 is not enough to get through a bad beat or two,I suggest Pokertracker
wooptydoo 0
well, for starter u save a couple of bucks each hand on the rake. that adds up to thousands after a year.another positive is u don't have to listen to people complain about bad beats and this and that..... brvheart 1,752
You may just suck at poker...
MisterB 2
Well I would say its your fault for sucking at cards but thats too easy. The reason people play online? They like moneyAt the commerce how many $162 events pay 22k?Whats the rake?Convienience? And you can say cool stuff like Ship it and Get used to it when raking potsPlus if it wasnt for online poker we wouldnt have redpill
showstopper24 0
A lot of these people do not live by card rooms and if they do ,it is just more relaxing to play on your couch in your underwear.
Konidias 0
I don't live anywhere near a card room (that I'm aware of)Plus you can't sit around in your underwear and play at a casino. (unless you're so insanely rich that they allow it) :DLosing a couple $100 at those limits and you're complaining... whaattt? You can lose that in one hand.
pockets 0
It's easier to identify the fish online because they're the ones saying it's rigged.
zsta2k6 0
more hands in the same span of time = more bad beats... damn that was hard...
jonmarc 0
Im not saying its rigged. Im just saying the level of play is just underpar to what I am used to. And no your not going to find a $162 event that pays 22k at the commerce. But I rather play my weekly $120 that has a 8k prize pool and have a decent shot of winning it. Rather than pay $162 and go through 1000+ people to win.And I said I lost a few hundred dollars I lost a little over 400 before it was said and done. At one point I was down more than that. I dont claim to be pro-level but Im not a fish either.

Flushgarden 0
No disrespect intended, but it sounds like you don't really know what you're talking about.Bad beats happen with the same frequency online as they do live. You don't have to pay for gas money or deal with the idiots on the road while driving to the casino. You don't have to tip the dealor or the girl bringing you a bottle of water. There is a rake, but the rake is just as bad or worse in most B&M rooms. And most importantly...you can play many more hands online, thus make more money.

BudBundy 0
I have never played in a casino in my life but i am making +500$ from only rakeback and bonus although i am playing low stakes. And i heard around 30 hands per hour are played live. Now thats boring stuff.I sometimes get bored 3 tabling omaha. Wow - where to start, rake, hands per hour, no tipping, easier players, the list goes on and onI heard live players are a lot more fishy.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Its simple...I see more hands in a day online then u see in a month in a B&M...I do have more bad beats, but I bet the percentages are close. I get better quicker, learn more in a much shoter timeframe, make more money due to quickening that learning curve........... , I crap in my own bathroom during a session, listen to my own music in my own home and get to do it all in a pair of spiderman underoos........nuff said...
