Someone tell us what happened to them - Many theories are out there , I prefer the "capped in the back of the head for poor play" over the Zagruder Film second shooter version - What Happened ? Maybe they didn't want to do the "exit interview" when they went out.Then again, maybe that's the reason for the mystery, they want to keep all the tidbits of how those conversations went for the real show.What ever happened, I think the FCPers deserve an explanation after all the months of hype and participation/interet this forum has provided.It was bad enough the way it ended...Daniel just blowing off Sol, practically pulling Sol behind him, then saying "here's a watch and a shirt"...click. GrindingAway 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Author Share Posted May 2, 2006 True - could have tried to be a bit more polished / give the internet viewer a little more , especially in light of The incredibly long gaps between the action.All in all really enjoyed the look at all the action ( ? I still think they either played additional hands in that studio & fed the internet a feed of the empty studio / or moved to another studio to play additional hands ) ,.... that being said Internet viewing of the complete tournament is a VERY Cool format - Loved hearing daniels take on the action - the back stage pass feel of it all ...I hope they get the rough edges worked out - Yes it was HORRIBLE that after 9 hours of watching the tournement / breaks they cut out the post Tourney hoopla I hope they can do feeds over the internet so it'll be a little more enjoyable to watch live .... I'd be there until the bitter, bitter, very bitter end...More likely, it's DN realizing that he really doesn't want these people for his protege, and if by chance they do suckout and win this thing, then he's going to be saddled with old-man gummy and his chewing tobbacco addiction for the next 3 months... Those of us who watched the whole thing were getting pretty loopy by the end.One thing that impressed me was that Daniel's energy level did not seem to drop off. He was excited about the tournament, the players, and the individual hands right up to the end. He was putting a lot of effort into making a good show and I hope the broadcast lives up to his expectations.That said .... I do have a suggestion for the future. I suggest that someone be assigned to be the liaison with the forum for any future broadcasts they do -- someone to monitor the discussion, answer questions online about the broadcast (that were ignored yesterday), etc. For example,"Why are they on break now?" "How long is this break going to last?""Is there going to be a memorial service for Jerry and Jimmy?"I'm sure FCP would have no trouble finding a forum volunteer to do the job of keeping us informed as to what was happening with the broadcast. Jerry and Jimmy were removed, past that I really can't tell you, because I am not real sure- none of us are. In will say this- all of the delays, the breaks because of technical difficulties, just overall made it the single most frustrating poker game I have ever played, and part of me wonders if it was designed that way. They made us go to a specific room for breaks and we were miked the whole time- would not be suprised if some of that was used, really the funniest stuff happened when we perceived that the cameras were not rolling. I have had a great time- really, Danny took care of us and this was a success in the biggest way, and you guys will see that eventually- it was a show. The structure was great, really except for Jerry calling off all of his chips with J-7 the play was decent, and overall I am happy with how I played. I will give you guys a blow by blow and the hands that I thought I played well and what I did right and wrong, when I get home tonite. secret hush hush time. Daniel's a cool guy. I am sure he is trying to make Jerry feel better.Nope.It's pretty obvious from a guy who was playing, that Jerry and Jimmy got yanked for some unknown reason. Link to post Share on other sites
