InternetExplorer 2,609
My boss is leaving trust and moving to sales. They aren’t likely to replace her in market so now I will report to St. Louis directly, further eroding my chance to be promoted any time soon. NOT COOL BRO. Fortunately you’re a straight shooter

InternetExplorer 2,609
Some of you might remember the controversy regarding where one can poop in my firm. Specifically, there is a designated pooping bathroom for each sex, so that clients do not potentially experience any awfulness. Today the situation boiled over. Someone sent an email to all the males in the firm, complaining that someone shit all over the men's poop bathroom toilet (seat, bowl, rim... everything), asking that that person clean it up. We all kinda know who it was. I am trying to get the CEO to just do an annual bathroom FAQ at one of the quarterly meetings, to loop the new hires in on stuff like courtesy flushing. I feel like it would go a long way toward fixing the problems.

Napa_Don 688
At my auditing gig the staff was like 15 guys to 4 women and a 1 stall bathroom for each so we were allowed to use the womens restroom but only for onesies. And we had to make sure to leave the toilet seat down.
Napa_Don 688
My roommate informed me yesterday that him and his girlfriend are kinda wanting me to move out this spring when we had originally verbally aggreed to at least a year. So, I'll probably be purchasing a house in the next few months and folks, I am fvcking terrified. Edit: not that i'm a bad roommate or anything. I do more than my fair share of dishes, I more less keep to myself in the basement, I clean up after my dog, I'm not loud, I help clean in general, pay rent and stuff on time. I think they just want their "own" place.

It’s a magical and revolutionary place At my auditing gig the staff was like 15 guys to 4 women and a 1 stall bathroom for each so we were allowed to use the womens restroom but only for onesies. I think they just want their "own" place. If I could do it over again, I would have stretched and bought something closer to a permanent place. At the time, I was making $40k, so I can’t beat myself up too much.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
Ronny, what do you have against James Woods? I used to enjoy him as an actor, but he’s mentally deranged and a crazy Trumpkin. I don’t follow him for a reason. Same with Clay Travis. While I don’t find him crazy, I don’t follow him. You create zero content on twitter, which I respect, as I don’t either, I just reply to “friends” tweets. But you retweet these people into my feed. I don’t want to see it, so now you have 5 followers, not 6. No biggie, i get plenty of you here. Just a personal choice

When I was buying here in the great sta...hahahaha...here in nebraska, I found an outfit called NIFA whose rates for first time home buyers were about .75-1% lower than most brokers/banks on traditional 30-year fixed. They also offered a shorter term loan at a super low rate to help go towards a down payment for those who didn't have the typical 20% or even close to it. I didn't partake in that particular program, I just bit the bullet and paid PMI for a couple years since I had like 17% for a down payment. Good idea going for a 3 bdrm, much more desirable for the "first time/young family" buyers come resale time. You know the first thing you do after you move in? Nothing. See how you're going to live in it before you start with the projects/renovations etc. Unless of course you buy a fixer upper. I'm excited for ya buddy. Happy hunting. Theraflu 1,035
Yes, you really have it tough, with decent livable housing under 200k. This is the closest thing I could compare to in my area. 1 less bedroom, 1 less bathroom, 160 fewer sq ft. 35k more. https://www.zillow.com/homes/for_sale/West-Bridgewater-MA-02379/57229669_zpid/58752_rid/globalrelevanceex_sort/42.115033,-70.894433,41.898443,-71.263505_rect/11_zm/

Yeah, MN has a first time home buyers thing and the rates aren't any better but they do have a 10 year down payment loan (at the same rate as your mortgage). I, however, make too much for the real helpful programs so i'm basically SOL in that department. I'm probabably going to have to end up renting for a year or so until I can save up enough for a decent-er house because I can't expect my income to rise significantly anytime soon to be able to afford the monthly payments on a more expensive house. Hopefully I don't just end up in a continuous loop of being outpriced for a home. Edit: "but you knew houses were more expensive in mpls" Yes, but I also was planning on having at least another 8 months of cheap rent to save some real money with. And the housing market just completely dried up recently.

CobaltBlue 662
So I'm not entirely clear which it was, but the #2 either left or was fired. Point is, she gone. ...which means I'm the highest ranking employee of a dumpster fire now. It actually has been okay this week. I even felt comfortable with my fancy title for probably the first time after making a management call. With that said, have fired back up on job searching. Gotta think I'll probably double my hourly on the next jump.

Kitchen floor is...interesting, need new appliances, bathroom vanity is that shitty tile, but all of that is a simple fix. Nice detached garage and a shed in the back for your workspace. Yard looks big and fenced, which I’m totes jelly. Since the garage is back there, it’s probably not completely secure (I am putting it through my prism of needing a closed yard for Bruno and Lola) Buying will be cheaper than renting if nothing breaks. You could get a roommate who ends up paying 75% of the mortgage until you’re ready to go it alone

InternetExplorer 2,609
Are you planning on staying in MPLS for at least five years? My original roomie was just paying his mortgage with my rent, it seemed like a great arrangement because he genuinely wanted the company. I would never do that personally, but you like your bros, I can tell. At least so far, I feel like I made the right call with my condo. I wasn’t going to be happy permanently in a place less than $300k, and I didn’t have even close to enough salary for that at the time.
