online poker is fixed!!! i am convinced!!!

Recommended Posts

This is my first post here but i have been following this site since it first came up picking up tips and tricks on strategy for my game. I consider myself to be a good poker player and I have won a few tournements locally and in B&M casinos. However, my rant involves online poker and how utterly horrible it is for me. I mean, no matter where I go, its bad beat after bad beat. And I know im not the only one that rants about this very topic but enough is enough. Im talking people hitting 1 outers on me way too many times. I feel if i don't quit playing online poker, ill have to get a new computer since i am always ready to toss it out the window. To me, online poker is like pop-ups. It's so aggravating. Anyway, i think that all these poker sites bait you in with all these deposit bonuses, let you win a few times to get your ego going, then give it to you in the A SS!! I have come to the conclusion that the only way to be successful playing online is if money doesnt matter to you and you have so much that you can just play and it doesnt matter if you win or lose. Just today, i had AA cracked a total of 7 times and to what you ask: Hmm. A2, 76o, 88, 72, QQ, KK, etc. I didnt win 1 hand with them. Its almost as if you have to always come from behind to win a hand. Anyway, i am officially done with online poker. Sorry for the rant but this crap has to end for me cause it just ruins the rest of my day. Thanks for listening.

You're simply not a winning player. Ice

I am going to have to agree with Ice and say that you are just not a winning player. Sorry. Have you done something terrible recently that may be giving you bad beats as a result of Karma? i.e. running over your neighbor's cat and not telling him about it, molesting children, laughing at tsunami victims? Sounds like you have pretty poor luck. At any rate, my advice is to give the next bum you see a crisp hundred dollar bill and you will see the percentage at which you receive a bad beat go down drastically. Another out you have is to stop playing holdem and switch to Razz. idk, i thought that was pretty funny :D

How often do you have Quads vs a gut shot straight flush draw? Or quads vs a higher set? You should start playing at the bad beat jackpot tables... This way not only can you collect this jackpot you clearly hhave entitled to you... but you can also complain without us having to hear it.... Play better..... Or worse either way, quit complaining, its not rigged. you play worse than me, and for that you should be ashamed....EDITAdd his post below mine too....

It's not fixed, you're just not playing with a good enough pattern mapper to know when the action flops are coming.
You say you've read here some, so I hope you can recognize the sarcasm in Smash's post. Let me give you an example of a hand I played yesterday that, taken out of context, confirms your belief that online poker is rigged. I have :diamondsa: :diamonds6: in MP and limp in with 2 other limpers. The flop is :diamondsq: :diamonds10: :hearts5: giving me the nut flush draw. It's checked around to late who puts in a small bluff pot and an EP guy and I both call. The turn is the :diamonds4: giving me the nuts. EP checks, and I check hoping to induce a late position bluff. It backfires and he checks. The river brings the :diamondsj: and EP bets 2x the pot! Great! I'm going to get paid. I raise it up and put him all in. There are 4 diamonds on the board and I have 2, making over half of the diamonds out. I'm 99 percent sure I'm best. I'm also 99 percent sure he had the King. I was right. Only he had :diamondsk: :diamonds9: to complete his 1 outer and beat me with the old 9-10-J-Q-K straight flush vs. my Ace high flush. Now this story taken out of context may affirm your suspicions of online poker. Now listen to this. I've played nearly half a million hands and this has NEVER happened until now. I have never ever had an ace high flush get beat by a straight flush. If online poker really were rigged, I'm sure this normal anomaly of a hand would be much more common than 1 in half a million. Think about it.

I agree... it's definitely fixed !!Today I played Omaha and O/8 I swear , if only I couldve' swapped the hands I was getting on each table I would've won hundreds!!! ....Or maybe, I just don't know when to play or fold a hand... :D

I've had aces or kings 4 times today, and I've won a big pot with them 3 times. Once, I even sucked out on somebody when he flopped a set of nines, but I spiked one of my two outs on the river to make a bigger boat. The 4th time, I folded aces to a 2nd raise when the flop came down 678 of the same suit, and I didn't have a draw to the flush. If I'd have called to the river, I could have typed "my aces got run down by 5-9!" completely out of context.Ice

just wonderingoriginal poster....how long you've been playing online?because in the unlikely scenario that you ARE a good player and have been having horrible luck online, it may well just be a bad streak. if youve been playing for more than two or three months, then id have to agree with everyone else here and say the problem is probably you, and the reason youve won some live tourneys is luck.

Actually, i've lost with an Ace high flush to a straight flush 4 times live (3 last year!!!) , and never online (i play online everyday, i play live on friday and saturday). But i've never been outset live, yet it has happened at least 3 times online (i choose to forget those memories as quick as the money goes to my opponent...).Obviously, these are rare occurances, and well, i doubt my 10 dollar live game is being rigged. You might say, "well, you haven't played enough for it to balance out in the live games". But that is the point! Whether or not your Aces were cracked seven times that day doesnt really matter. Over time, the difference is negligible.

Please explain why a company that makes millions and millions would risk it all by rigging the game? Well maybe the CEO wants to win a Darwin award!
