Uhhhh, poker? Economics, Law...Yeah, I know this is all fun stuff :-)
  1. I can't really justify calling down with a King high in most situations so I have never made that play, however I can see doing it when there is a clear low straight draw that missed, even then the pot isn't ever big enough to call down with the King high.
  2. Uhhh, getting a quickie in the shower? I think that qualifies as being better than flopping a nut flush. This reply is destined to be deleted
  3. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY PERFECTLY BY THE BOOKDate of the WSOP Main Event: June 3rdToday's Date: April 5thDays: 60Hours in a day: 2424x60=1440 hours until WSOP4 table you can normally get in about 250 Hands in an hourA good win rate is about 5-10BB/100, we'll be generous and give you a full 10 for the limits up to 5/10, then 5 BB higher than thatSo...25 BB/Hr until 5/10 then 15 from there onSo, starting at .01/.02 limits you need to make $20 to move up so that would take 1000 BB's or about 40 hours.BANKROLL=$30At .05/.10 limits you need to make $30 to move up so that would take 300 BB's or about
  4. Seriously, white castle is the only way to cure the late night craving after a long poker session. Oh baby, i can taste those delicious little burgers right now.
  5. Seriously, this really depressed me, the world has lost a truly funny man.
  6. You see, i didn't get this joke because its still March 31st here. Maybe you should wait until the actual April Fool's Day to pull something like this.
  7. Wow, forum goes down for a day and I miss this! Man, sorry I wasn't here for this, looked like a hell of a fight.JT
  8. Just to make sure this thread stays alive....Man, scrabble sure is a fun game!
  9. Yes, terrible beat, I think there is a section for these stories though.
  10. Whoa, this advice is pretty bad. I would say cap the preflop and flop, maybe raise the turn and then just call the river. Either way, folding your hand on the river is just terrible with this size of a pot.EDIT: And now I see that this issue has already been addressed so I have wasted my time
  11. Are you serious, you are not at all concerned of an overpair with all of the raising going on preflop? What about a set? Why jam the pot with bets when you have a weak hand?
  12. I would be a very rich man if Sklansky bucks were real. Are there any banks that except this currency?
  13. With only 1 other opponent in the pot, why not just check the turn to get a free river? With multiple opponents it may be good to build a pot for your flush draw but with only 1 opponent it just isnt worth it. Also, why bet the river if the guy is loose passive?
