For everyone saying that Norman Chad is annoying, I think Lon McEachern is much more annoying. He really doesn't know anything at all about the game. At least Norman gives insight to the game some times. Lon just stands there poking fun at Norman. And i can't stand that insufferable hairpiece of his. :evil:

When I was in Vegas in April, Norman Chad was hanging around/sweating the 4-8 tables at the Bellagio and was trying to get close to the big game table near the rope (Farha, Hansen, and some others) but kept gettign shoo'ed away by security. It was funny.

If he folds, then she takes down the pot right there, there are no more cards, she cant lose the hand. Sure she wants to double up, but if you dont have the nuts, then there are hands that can beat you and with an overcard on the board, why would she want him to call?? O, and she couldnt of won the tournament right there, she would of just doubled and Im not sure she would of even been chip leader at that point, Lee had a monster chip lead. Sorry buddy, you lose again

The only point you have is that I meant to say "Possibly win the tournament"Second, if she has AK, and he pushes with 10 10, would she call before the flop? Third, give me a censored break, being a 4/1 favorite, I am sure her first thoughts were not "censored! I wish he folded, I am a HUGE favorite!'This is turning into a flame fest, as result of Norman Chad's stupid face.

Im sure she wasnt dissappointed with a call, but I Im promise she wanted to take down the pot right there. Everyone in poker always uses the quote "Its better to win a small pot, then lose a big pot" which is what happened right there. The pot was big enough for her to want to take down at that moment. He called and had outs, and he caught one, if he folds she wins the pot and is still alive with more chips.

See what happens when you compromise? She did want to take down the pot right there, because she raised all in, however I am sure she liked his calling as well. End topic.

Gotta back up my fellow Canuck here.I think Lee did a great job of being patient and not letting Bellande's yapping get to him, especially the "nice hit" beration.Lee waited, picked his spot, and knew Bellande would come after him.When he had that wheel, he must've been salivating.Granted he got lucky against Harman, but with a 4 1/2-1 chip lead on her thanks to Bellande, he had a damn fine chance anyway.

i really like what beast did with the holdem or foldem commercials, throwing some extra coverage of hands in during commercials.

First of all, Norman Chad is a terrific announcer and is great for the WSOP. Second of all, most of the players at the final table were awful, only idiot donkeys slow play trip kings on the flop and turn with a straight and flush draw out there. Then there was the backwoods donkey who was short stacked with almost nothin left and lays down A-Q. Then the winner Doug Lee knew that he wasnt going to out play Harman so he just tried to get lucky, and he did. He was pratically having a seizure waiting for the river card.

There was nothing wrong with the laydown of AQ. I believe in that hand there was a raise and 2 callers. There is a good chance you are dominated or in a coin toss. He was also the shortstack, so he was gonna get called regardless.

i thought bellande was hilarious. especially when it was 3 handed and the other guy folded to harmons re-raise and he said "this is the only time im going to say it but that was a BAD LAYDOWN"

Conclusion, even editing can't help them :DThe only specific example I have is what Ian posted, however, I know that there are most definately more recent, and with the WSOP 2005 events debuting, I can't wait to post them.Also, how is Mike Sexton obnoxious?! I never heard him say anything that would result in "obnoxious" being the correctly used adjective. VVP says "Wired Pair", get over it. Norman Chad has his hilarious "Ex wives" jokes (sw)

I watched last night, and overall I thought it was a good show. However, I have forgotten how annoying Norman Chad is. He really bugs the hell out of me. They definitely need a better personality along side the Lon McEahorn guy (Not sure on spelling) to really liven things up. I was rooting for Jennifer Harmon. Bummer her QQ got busted. Didnt like the Doug Lee guy. I think he misplayed his KK earlier when Bellande was still in it. Looking forward to next week though, but definitely not looking forward to seeing more commercials for the re-runs of TILT. :evil:

Lederer folded AK last year preflop on the tournament of Champions. Men "The Master" also folded AK against David Grey pre-flop during the 2003 WSOP when Grey had AA.

That AK fold Harman made surprised me too, but it was definately not the first time on tv. Esfandiari threw away AK suited on tv but i'm not sure what event it was. Bellande played very well, even though i think people really respected his cards too much for a stretch there. Too bad the donk won it though, would have been cool to see Bellande and Harman go at it. Trip 10's on the river, then to hear the guy say "I was feeling it." Nothing in the world bothers me more than hearing that, but then i just think to myself that they felt the other 10 before that they didn't hit.

I thought Norman Chad's comments on Bellande were on the mark--at first he was pretty annoying, but then I found it pretty amusing. "Nice lay down boys"Also calling Jean Paul Bellande "Bobby" was hilarious.Overall though, Norman Chad is pretty weak.

I've seen AK laid down on TV before, as some previous posters have, but never in this situation. Jen was facing a raise and a reraise, but being 4 handed you have to play accordingly. AK in a 4 handed game is a monster, and IMO, the lay down, while displaying good discipline, was incredibly foolish. I understand she wanted to win the tournament but there would be no way I could lay that down in that spot. And it was the best hand of the 3.Note: 2004 WPT champ, I'm UTG with AK suited, blinds are 400/200. I raise to 2k, everyone folds to CO who moves all in and has me covered. After several minutes of studying CO boy I call, thinking he has a small pr. He flips over 33, board bricks except the river, you guessed it, a 3. GG I learned the hard way to not overplay AK, suited or not.
