DanielNegreanu 141 Posted July 15, 2005 Share Posted July 15, 2005 As I have mentioned a few times now, the FCP Biz Team and I are making plans to take the FCP Community experience to a higher level with some website enhancements and some one-of-a-kind promotions/contests.The Logo Contest is an example of such special events on the horizon. We are still a little shell shocked by the awesome response and enthusiasm stirred up by this contest that was announced on a whim and executed in a relatively short period of time. So . . . in an effort to show our appreciation and to set the precedent for how we plan to take care of our promo and contest winners going forward, I would like to announce a change in the prize package for the Logo Contest.In addition to Chadwick (the eventual logo winner) we will arrange for the other FOUR logo finalists (of the Top 5) to come out to Vegas and participate in the Logo Contest Weekend Winners Extravaganza. All expenses paid, including airfare and hotel. These four other FCP forum members are:Jason Bo, DCSports, Governator and jeffgen --- CONGRATULATIONS!If any of these guys cannot attend the event, the other (4) consolation prize winners will serve as alternates in the following order:Royal Tour then rcheramy then Hawk21 then leftygolfer --- CROSS YOUR FINGERS.OK, so that's the good news. The less than good news is that this event is Friday, July 29th and Saturday, July 30th which means you don't have a lot of time to clear calendars and book flights. My apologies for the short notice, but my schedule is so booked up over the next few months ( you know getting married and such) that this was the best weekend for me. Chris (or Chris_Biz Team) will be contacting you soon to talk about your travel planning.Now back to the good stuff. Below is a list of guidelines and many of the things we are planning for the Logo Winners Weekend. Naturally, this is all subject to change, but trust me, our intention is to set up 48 hours of fun that will give you a story to tell for the rest of your life. As a matter of fact, we will be video taping the whole event and will share the highlights with the FCP community in streaming video at a later date. -Each of the 5 prize winners can bring ONE guest who will be able to attend most of the events. The guest is responsible for his/her airfare and the rest is on us. -The 5 winners should arrange his own flights to Vegas, and then we will reimburse when you arrive. The activities will start around 7:00 pm on Friday and will officially end after a late dinner on Saturday night (roughly 11:00 pm) -All participants and guests must be at least 21 years of age -When you accept this prize offer, you are automatically releasing me (Daniel Negreanu) and my team from any personal liabilities that may unexpectedly result (my agent asked me to throw this in) -Everyone will be staying at the Wynn. Rooms are reserved for Friday and Saturday night -Plan to meet as a group for the first time at the Wynn Poker Room between 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm on Friday. Around 8:00 pm we will play a $1000 Freeroll knock-out tournament (Guests included if they want) and I will have a $100 bounty on my head. -Then on Saturday at Noon a Hummer Limo will pick up everyone (including guests) and take all to my house for a pizza party and the 8-game competition between me and Chadwick (or whoever Chadwick would like to substitute from the other 4 FCP members because he may offer a better match-up) . . . and yes, the $500 is still riding on each game -The Limo will take everyone back to the Wynn, where we will reconvene at 9:30 for dinner at Wing Lei (This is the one activity that guests are not included) The reservation is for 10 people and the dress code is casual elegant (no shorts, jeans or tennis shoes) -After dinner the weekend event is officially over, and we will plan the rest of the evening on the fly -All the other stuff that will take place . . . well I'm not sure. . . but you can bet the cameraman will capture it! Chadwick, Jason, Gov., DC and jeff- get on the horn with your travel agent or book flights online, as I look forward to meeting you all. That is truly horrible but I guess you jut made Royal a happy bunny.It going to be funny when 23 of the top 25 turn out to be underage. If one of you guys could grab me a mint $1 chip, I'll pay you for your time and shipping (to Spain). I collect Las Vegas Casino $1 chips and the Wynn is latest casino I haven't got. It's not hard, you can usually just ask at the cage for a mint $1 chip for your collection.Congrats to all of you, remember to not go too crazy and to dominate all the games!
