I love that both sides are trying to take credit for seeing the crisis ahead of time. gee, excellent work, you tried to introduce legislation after it was already too late.
No...McCain tried to introduce legislation I believe it was in 20O4 and was shot down be Dems. There is footage all over Youtube attesting to this.

This is EXACTLY what you did - in my opinion - when I had the audacity to disagree with your precious Opinions. And you're correct, I know nothing about you - nor do I care. What do you think you know about me?The point at which I became "rude" was when you decided to assume that you could put words in my mouth, and I'll be damned if I am going to sit here and let a troll like you do that without a response from me.
If my response to CaneBrain was perceived to be what you claim it to be and he personally addresses me with that sentiment, then I am not disinclined to apologize *to him* for a response that was my perception of last night's events. And I never attempted to put words in anyone's mouth, not once. You just think your opinion is the only one that matters, and you pick and choose which "opinion" is just an opinion and which is a bias. I'm done conversing with you.

One of the things that was grating on me last night was Biden continually saying "This is the most important election you will ever vote in" Really? That is so self serving and egotistical.
I did kind of chuckle when he said that. But I just liken it too when an athlete says this is the biggest game he's ever played in. Well of course it is, this is the one right now. And the next one will be the most important too. Every election is the most important one ever.

Very Sad. Some really sick people out there that are totally out of line. Amazing some of the stuff done with Palin........question why do these people fear her?
For the people who are sitting at home watching this movie with their pants around their ankles, I don't think 'fear' is in their top 10 of emotions at the moment.

Nobody "fears" Palin. That's wishful thinking on the part of The Republicans. She's everything the Democrats could hope for in a Republican vice-presidential nominee. She's a ditz while also attempting to be a good party hack. She's a good ditz, but a bad hack.

I also enjoyed Palin claiming that the debate would provide an opportunity to address the American people without being "filtered" by the media. Because she's vacuous and could't provide cogent answers to basic questions, she was somehow being "filtered". Ludicrous...

Some of the initial Knee-Jerk vitriol aimed at Palin seemed like it was "fear" driven. There were plenty of "she scares the heck out of me" comments, many with anti-religious basis. Now that the first reactions have aged and hardened into "conclusions" it seems that her critics no longer have that visceral fear - they just view her as a ditzy soccer mom from Alaska - but the initial core certainly had that kernel of fear.So much is based on an individual's starting point and if they are trying to score any points for their Party. I thought I was "Conservative" but had to laugh out loud last night during the Debate After-Glow on Fox when a certain Conservative Hack gushed: "She was nothing short of AMAZING. Like Reagan in his debates. We have a SUPERSTAR"I think that is equally as ridiculous as the Liberal Hacks claiming total victory for Biden.

Steve, youre fairly new to the forum so probably havent read this before , but Biden is dumb as a rock. I worked across the table from him in his second Senate campaign finance committee. My boss and his first Presidential campaign finance manager, (google Biden Joel Boyarsky) required all of his senior staff to work with and contribute to the Biden campaign. Biden could not formulate a coherent position on his own. He is a total puppet that hides behind his speaking ability. When he strays from the game plan he screws it up. His out and out plagiarism stemmed from him wanting to "speak his own voice" not that of his handlers. Unfortunately they never thought to look across the Pond before he lifted his speech almost word for word.Don't be fooled by what you see on stage. He couldnt think his way out of a paper bag if he had a box cutter in his pocket.
Considering what you believe is intelligent and your seeming determined support of Mc/P, I'll take your assessment of Biden with a shaker of salt.

What's the deal with her "winking" at the audience? Does she always do that?
That was a super secret shout out to people that fear her.

I am indeed a pundit, now that I have been interviewed by Fox News. Before that I was just someone in a diner in Clifton, NJ at 4:30 AM after a concert. But then they walked into the diner and changed my life...
4:30 am? Couldnt have been at Continental...traffic jams arent that bad!

Respect is given to those who give in return, and not once was I disrespectful. I did nothing to warrant his attacking. Go back to any of my responses. And no, the issue isn't me.

Biden is a huge part of the problem..The guy has geen in office for ever and look at the shape the Country is in.
You could replace the first word with McCain and the sentence reads about the same. Good logic.

Are you serious? Did you watch the same debate? IT'S WAY OVER. She did nothing to help their campaign. It was completely obvious that when she couldn't answer a question she went back to discussing "energy" and what she did in Alaska. She doesn't have what it takes. And by goodness, couldn't she expand her vocabulary a little? How many times did she say "The Maverick"? I'm with DN. Obama will be our next President and finally change will take place, and for the better.
You is blinded, sir. Democrats dont win presidential elections often and when they do it is usually close (unless they have the good fortune to be running against Bob Dole---good pick GOP). I think Obama wins in a squeaker. Also, I dislike Palin too but she is only the VP candidate. Since there are still two debates coming up soon I am sure people will have forgotten all about this soon.

I can't believe the standards have fallen so low for debating at a presidential/vice-presidential level. Are people just surprised she didn't drool on herself!!? Are you kidding me, she is beyond stupid. I felt like I was watching "Idiocracy" at some points. As for Biden, he needs to stop saying so much socialist bullshit.
