Tipping after a session depends on having money after the session to tip with. Tipping is -EV, but I do it anyway, because it is a cultural issue. We culturally choose to pay some jobs less, and expect the consumer to directly compensate as a way to promote good service. Pooling tips directly subverts this, but also limits the likelihood that an individual consumer can influence a dealer. In my opinion, poker dealers are a bad place to put a tipping expectation, but that's the system we have.

The chatter concensus is "shenanigans", but assuming that this did happen, I'm going to add that if this did happen, your reaction to the comments was probably more important.If you're holding the nuts, it is way more likely that you'll get defensive and overreact in a situation like this. I heard that the Charlottetown casino-racepark is adding Hold'em right away. The last time I was there, 18 months ago, I heard there were fairly regular games/tournies in a couple of the local bars, but I didn't play in them. HTH... I'll be there in July, so I'll be looking. Post back if you find anything good - I'll likely want to trace your footsteps.

Brothers and sisters, if you think DNs blog was very racist, you need to get out more. Scuba near death: 75 feet down, one of my early open water dives. I suddenly had no air. Sucking on the mouthpiece was like trying to breath through stone. That first moment of panic... oh my god. I got an adrenaline rush, went icy cold, and started flailing for my secondary. I couldn't get my hand on it (I was thrashing/panicking). I was pushing air out like a fool, and burning air like a fool. Then, I suddenly got very calm, very fast. I stopped, looked around and saw another diver in my group a few yards away. I swam over, gave the out-of-air sign, and took his octopus. Sweet air.

I've dealt with this issue more than once. I simply say "You need to protect your cards", and continue to play. In one case, the dealer asked if I had seen the hand, and when I said "yes", he exposed the hand for the whole table and play continued.

I quit the game. I turn poker over to the slots players, and find a nice private game. One of the (many) reasons I haven't had much success with online poker is that it is too flat. I like the chips, the clatter, the cards. Death to PTEK!

On the PGA, Tiger gets paid even if he misses the cut on a lot of tourneys -- they pay him just to show up. On HSP, several posts from DN state they got paid for being there (nowhere near what they were risking). On PAD, Hellmuth mentioned he gets paid "50K just to hang out for the day" (although he didn't specify that he was paid for PAD).Does anyone know if DN, PH, C"J"F, "DB", etc. get paid to attend tournaments? Anyway, I did a search for Brazillian, and I got a bunch of pictures - not all of them appeared to girls from that particular country - I can't figure out why they got caught up in my search...
