  1. This is a dream. My 2 favourite players 1 and 2. Negreanu v Hachem heads up to decide the Event would be brilliant!
  2. I would also fold thinking he has a set, less likely two pair. Not worth putting your tournament on the line here IMHO.
  3. For those of you who were wanting just the written blog, how can you compare that to video blogs like this? I agree that it is great to see Daniel and Greg seem to make up. Having just seen Greg Raymer on the sidelines supporting my boy Joe Hachem in the 6-handed WSOP event (which Joe came second in), I have become a bit of a fan of his. And wasn't this the event that Daniel did well in to be knocked out by Dutch Boyd? Certainly looking forward to hearing the report from High Stakes Poker. I heard that Ivey might be playing 6 hours.
  4. Details of the scoring system and format are not yet available.
  5. Just a quick mention. I just read on Tony G's blog that there is $17 million available to the 64 players in season 1 of the PPL.
  6. Defintitely like to see some of the online cash game players.....esp. H@££INGGOL. Also David Benyamine.
  7. I am not requesting, but it would be interesting to see Rizen's numbers.
  8. The format/structure has not yet been announced, althought Daniel has said that it will be more cash game-like with stable blinds. So I imagine a competition with multiple rounds, hopefully with various games, and points to be awarded for each round depending on chip counts. Just my guess so we will have to wait and see.
  9. I am jealous..getting to talk to Jen Harman. She seems like a nice person, and has gone through a lot over the last few years. I agree with your rankings although it is difficult to be certain without knowing the structure or even the games that will be played.
  10. I reiterate FlyingDonkey's question. E-dog..Cunninhgham.....what has happened to them?Otherwise, this looks very exciting. Whilst your team Daniel looks very strong, (btw I am glad Mike is on your team), I must say that Team 4 looks the strongest to me, although I don't know how most of those players are in cash games.Your discussion about Nick Shulman is interesting. Clearly he is a very good player, but I would have thought that you would have rated Josh much higher than Nick.Being an Aussie, and not exactly a Tony G fan, the combination of the 2 Brunson's with Tony looks like an interesting
  11. I suspect that the reason is either difficulty in getting a replacement camera man, or a lack of time.
  12. Although he also said that the format would be more like cash games with static blinds. I would like to see that with a variation in games as mentioned earlier. I suspect this will be the case given Daniels Holdem rhetoric during the WSOP about too much NL Holdem. Looking forward to October 7th!
  13. One of the most interesting posts I have read in a while. Well researched and thought out....it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  14. Thank you Daniel for the heads up re this new exciting project. As a recent newcomer to poker, I am already a bit bored with the all-in fests that characterize WPT final tables. The PPT broadcasts are a definite improvement, but this sounds like a completely fresh idea with only the best players involved. Can't wait to hear more!
  15. Are you playing in any of the PPT Season 2 events Daniel? They don't seem to be in your schedule.
  16. The Main Event is obviously rigged as well. Phil Hellmuth JJ v QQ and KK v AA first 2 hands.
  17. Be patient..he has a life you know.
  18. 6/10 Thankfully focus was not just on the TV tables, because if that was the case it would have been the most boring television of all time, especially the Matusow table. Phil Helmuths table was more interesting, if only to see his reaction to having JJ v QQ then KK v AA on the first 2 hands lol. Otherwise, as someone who has never been to the ME, I did enjoy these shows because it gave a good perspective on what it was like being there. I also thought it gave an interesting insight into how the pro's cope with playing against the newbies....and vice versa! It must be very daunting to play in
  19. The TV table with "the Mouth" must be one of the most boring of all time..even with MM. I guess when you are thrust into the limelight, on ESPN, and playing with someone like Mike, it must be fairly daunting.
  20. I have to say, this is the Heads Up that I would love to see more than any other. Although at times he is entertaining, the clips linked to by the OP embarrass me as an Aussie. The Bad Boys of Poker show which I think he won, made Mike the Mouth look shy and retiring.
  21. Guess he doesn't always take his own advice. On the recent PPT he checked KK early to also be beaten by AA.
  22. I agree, although as an Aussie I am a bit biased. He came equal fifth on the WSOP leaderboard which is impressive. Wonder what DN thinks given that he is one of the seven!
  23. I couldn't agree more. I use poker office, which I find invaluable to give you as much information as possible to allow you to make decisions. I haven't used poker tracker, but I imagine the 2 are fairly equivalent. As stated earlier, online it is so easy to become distracted and miss vital bits of information. I only play one table at a time and I replay every hand that goes to a showdown using poker office..it provides useful info re how players play certain hands.Good luck
  24. The hand between DN and that Zeidman dude demonstrated the huge difference between the top players and the rest. Zeidman should learn to just shutup when playing these guys...DN really made a fool out of him. Can't wait to next week...DN v GH......Edit..I just looked up Zeidman's profile. He finished 39th in the main event in 2003. Go figure. Also interesting to note that 39th cashed only $25 000 3 years ago. How times change! This year, 39th scored almost 10 times that.
  25. I would love for the video blog to continue. I know that there has been an issue with time, and I would have thought that recording a 5 minute video blog would take less time than writing paragraphs of written bloggery. Whilst I grant there is some preparation, I think that DN usually just talks from the heart off the cut.
