herly33 1
wow, a lot more people then I would of ever guessed. This doesnt prove there were alot of people involved, if you read the report says they kept changing usernames so it wouldnt be so obvious. Also in the report it states the accounts Auditmaster1 and Auditmaster2, would be observing the game to see the hole cards, and then would relay the information to an account that was playing in the game. grocery_mony 8
hmm says Russ Hamilton was the main perpetrator but does not name any one else involved. They have to name everyone for KGC to have any creditability imo. a reluctance to do so will just cast a dark cloud over other name players involved in that site. Not releasing the names of everyone involved makes me think Russ isnt the only name player involved. I am looking at you Phil Helmuth, Annie Duke and Freddy Deeb.

grocery_mony 8
Deeb is almost a given, if I remember correctly.I would not be surprised if Annie Duke were involved. And Hellmuth is either too stupid to be involved or too stupid to stay out of it, I'm not sure which yet.Yea I think either Helmuth was a part of it or he secretly owns a nice chunk of the site and thats the reason he hasnt left or really hasnt made any real comments about it. vbnautilus 48
But the sheet shows which userid each username was from. Looks like at least 15 unique userids.edit: Interesting parts of the report: 1. The illicit software allowed only two accounts - AuditMonsterl and AuditMonster2 - to access hole card information; 2. These two accounts were able to access hole cards via the normal poker client;3. The "stealth observer" function was located in the normal code base where the normal card messages were sent to the poker client; and 4. The illicit software was disabled on UB servers on February 2, 2008. In total, the Commission's investigation revealed 23 accounts that had a total of 117 usemames that were used by the responsible individual(s) to facilitate the cheating incidences. As stated in the Commission's September 29, 2008 public statement, the available evidence shows that Russell Hamilton, an individual previously associated with the eWorid Holdings Group, was primarily responsible for and benefitted from the multiple cheating incidences. The vast majority of the computer devices and IP addresses used by the cheating accounts were directly associated with Russell Hamilton. The vast majority of the cheating accounts transferred money through Russell Hamilton's player accounts. The individuals who transferred money, changed usemames or withdrew money from accounts, all had ties to the eWorld Holdings Group and/or Russell Hamilton. The beneficiaries of these transfers and withdrawals were either Russell Hamilton or individuals who worked directly with Russell Hamilton or the eWorld Holdings Group. ... the Commission has provided extensive information to law enforcement authorities, including the names of 31 individuals who were associated, to varying degrees, with Russell Hamilton, the cheating accounts and/or transactions related to the cheating accounts. blakheart 3
Clearly the commission needs to name the other 30 names.
Balloon guy 158
The funny thing about this is that the whole thing came out mostly because one guy thought it would be fun to win the biggest tournament they had, by winning everyhand and playing perfectly every single time and never losing a pot.You be cool with this and you make money forever. Instead they invited some dorkmonster to basically buy a yellow Ferrari with the stolen loot and drive it around the houses of the people he stole it from.I take great pleasure thinking of how much that must burn Russ and his buddies. And I take great fear to realize that not everyone who is cheating online is this dumb. They basically only admit to anything shady happening till after it has been undeniably proven by the poker community.
StrippersNBlow 0
What a joke the KGC is. They basically only admit to anything shady happening till after it has been undeniably proven by the poker community. They remind me of the sportsbook "watchdog" sites in the late 90s.
