I have had trouble picking spots to bluff in. This looks like a reasonable spot to rep a straight. Thoughts? So I guess this forum is completely dead now. Good to now

So after a long break from playing online (black friday essentially) I have decided to try to play and to play more seriously than I did prior. I have mostly been a recreational player. I play 3 to 4 times a month live at my local casino, and have played the occasional small buy in tourny (up to $300 buyin). When I played online I never used a Hud, and stayed away from a lot of no limit online since I felt that I was at a disadvantage to players who used a HUD. Even today I still play more O8B than NL holdem when I play live, simply because the players at my local casino are so bad at omaha 8.

How To Bluff For Real ? Don't Let Me Down ...
blakheart replied to Dartagnan's topic in General Strategy
Your story has to make sense. The person you bluffing has to believe you have a hand that can beat them. If you bet all the way on an Ace high flop, it would make the villian believe you have an ace. Details of the hands you attempted bluffs would help. -
That's all I was hoping for

Wise investment by him.

I play a lot of the sit n gos' nl and plo. The games are soft. I play low since I dont want to have my money snatched again. Cash out is not too difficult

Thoughts On Pokerstars - Critic And Feedback
blakheart replied to mar0's topic in General Poker Forum
I agree a lot with Isidoros points- just add my 2 cents 1. Acquiring Full tilt- This was done to convince US authorities that Pokerstars was a good actor whenever the market reopened in the US. You see the value know that Poker stars is back in new jesey. 2. Copying PartyGaming model I don't see why this bothers you? You certainly don't have to play, and they will make money off of the gambling. The more diverse revenue streams they have the better that is for you, since they will not be reliant on rake as the only source of revenue. 3. Protecting weak players This mindset is th -
Sounds like DN had a negative year last year. First one in quite a while, I believe.

Help With Learning The Math
blakheart replied to Tylerhorseman's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Simplify the math. On the flop count your outs and mutlply by 4. If you have 10 outs you have a 40% chance of hitting an out. After the turn mulyiplu by 2. 10 outs is now 20%. That is not exactly accurate but close enough when you are in the middle of a hand. -
