RDog 0
if you dont break him someone else willThe thing is........I really have no clue how good he is just because of the nature of the match last night. He definitely isn't horrid. Playing against a gambler is always going to be high variance. So based on that, not sure it is worth keeping the drama going. I dunno.
BellaireDrew 2
yeah if you play him again there has to be a min number of hands, and should def be two tables.
BSmitty23 0
So do I play him again with ground rules......2 tabling, min number of hands, etc or just get away from the drama?Min number of hands would be key, especially since I'm sure you will adapt. I'd do it if I was rolled. You have the BR, you have the poker sense, just give it.
Merby 3
So do I play him again with ground rules......2 tabling, min number of hands, etc or just get away from the drama?Obviously play him for the strict +EV of the situation and not the "pride" factor. With that in mind, I actually think that setting ground rules is a bad idea (only because it increases the possibility that he says "no"). Honestly, the rules make it sound more like a grudge match rather than a +EV situation which you happen to be taking advantage of. I personally try to avoid playing in situations where my pride might start to cloud my judgement. Besides, if for example you insist on a minimum number of hands, without escrowing some money aside to ensure that neither of you hit and run the other, there is nothing but his word preventing him from hitting and running. If his word were good enough, then you wouldn't need a "rule" ahead of time, just a gentlemen's agreement prior to the start of the match that you will play X amount of hands or for Y minutes.
