KappaKid83 0
Ok so Ill be the one to post something serious. I eat lots of salads and pastas and what not, so at night when I am taking a break for a few hours I make lots of food and stick them in tupperware in portions. Its easy and fast and also works good for dietary purposes. Jeff

rgold79 0
Man... I was hoping this thread was going to be about people who eat while playing live so I could tell the story about the time I was playing at the Luxor and we had to change decks 4 times in a half hour because an old man was eating the most nauseating plate of bacon I have ever seen and no one thought to ask him to stop eating. I play a lot in AC and at the Taj people are constantly eating and getting grease and ketchup all over the cards in addition to handling the filthy chips seconds before licking their fingers. At least at the Borgata they don't let you eat in the room.

HangukMiguk 8
I end up running back and forth from the kitchen whenever i hear a beep and im trying to make lunch.I did this once. I have never done this again. Results of said experience were posted on the boards:I was playing in a tournament at UB in March/April. At the first break, I got up, and put a pizza in the oven, and turned on the timer on the microwave. In about 11 minutes (the tournament was, of course, off break), the timer went off. I folded my junk hand, rushed into the kitchen, got the pizza out of the oven, and heard the buzzer on the laptop, so I knew it was my action, so I ran back into the living room.As I was, I hit the edge of a recliner with my right foot, and I just felt my little toe just crunch. Now, I don't swear...ever, but I remember screaming "SH!T!" and collapsing on the floor. I crawled to the computer, my hand was junk, and folded, then looked down at my foot. sure enough, I look at the toe, and it is pointing AWAY from my foot. Yep, I not only broke the toe, but even dislocated it. So I pop it back in place, alrighty. Now tears are streaming down my face. Buzzer sounds again. AQs, raise. I'm not going anywhere now, I can't walk. But I should me crawling or something into the bathroom, getting medical tape, taping it to my other toe so it doesn't set disfigured, and getting ibuprofen or something. But I have AQs in MP.I wound up cashing. I had someone who finally came home get the tape and ibuprofen for me, took that, but still can't tape my toe, as the nail would now point to the other toe. Okay, I'll just keep playing. So I finally bust out of the tournament, and let someone else tape my toe. I got into another tournament, and then won that one! I then cashed in a league game later that night, while trying to remember to alternate ice and heat on my toe. Well that doesn't work, and I end up nearly getting frostbite on my already broken & dislocated toe. That's what I did to play poker.I forgot about that pizza until 5 hours later, by the way. SideWinder 0
re: eating while playing live - i think it would be more hygenic to eat your lunch directly out of a public trash can than to eat during live poker, after all those people have touched those chips. it amazes me that so many people eat with their fingers at the poker table. Think about the people who don't wash thier hands after they take a crap. I'm always weary of sick people at the table, hand sanitizer is your friend.

mtdesmoines 3
Laptop idea is good.Let me tell you what always happens to me in live play. I always get to sit next to the 60 year old fat pig who likes to stuff his face and talk with his mouth full at the table. I was in Tulsa recently and had to sit next to this fat old guy who was eating some sort of pastry that had powdered sugar on top. Well, every time he took a bite he would breathe through his nose and blow powdered sugar all over the felt. I couldn't help but to crack up. The dealer had to tell him not to eat over the table. I hate those guysLast month I sat by a fat *** guy who smelled like ***. And it wasn't a tolerable level of "*** smell," either. (Now I'm wondering ... what really is a "tolerable level" of *** smell?) Anyway, it was a full room, so no table changes, no seat changes. I left. I seriously left.

I hate those guysI'm on the bigger side...and that is why I never eat at the poker table, no matter how long my sesson is. If I need to eat I either sit out and have my seat locked up, or just leave and get a new table when I come back. And also, yeah its disgusting to eat after/while touching those germ-ridden chips.I'm aware that things are kinda tight at a 10 person table. I try to have respect for the people I'm playing with and take up as little space as possible and not bump people and stuff.
Wandigo 1
You can get a nice room-size fridge for about $75 and prior to playing you can make some sandwiches. If you don't want to do this, sit out a couple hands or wait until the tourney break to go get something.Tonight I called up a pizza place, ordered a small pizza and a 20z Coke, and it took me a whole 30 seconds to run to the door when he got here and make it back before the hand was over.
