Both seem like good deals. I've been considering getting one for myself too. Check out this one on Amazon.http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Diamond-Poke...=sporting-goods

I have the WPT set...or very, very similar, they're actually a good set.Not casino quality but most people at home games don't know the difference anyway.

Check eBay also. You can get a 1000 chips for what you pay normally for 500 or less. Also you can find stuff besides the "dice" or suited" chips.

You're going to laugh but the place place to get a chip set is at Linens and Things. (If you have one in your area that is)They sell a 500 piece set for 34.99 - if you have one of their 20% off coupons you can get a fairly decent poker set for under $30.00.

Try posting it in the right forum next time. Also, if you're going to post in the wrong forum, at least post in one with a lot of traffic (i.e. not one that has had only 4 posts since you made your post 4 hours ago. :club:

I have a similar set to the 11.5 gram ones. Bought on Ebay two years ago. Paid 25? + 50? shipping I know the price was less than $75 total. Always remember when comparing prices over the internet to look at shipping costs, they can kill you. Like one of the previous posters mentioned, many local stores carry similar sets and you won't have to pay freight.

Ive seen both sets you're lloking at, at costo's before. little more than the online cost but no shipping. I bet you can do better just hitting local stores if you find the right spots if you have to pay shippong on the 2 you linked. Either way, I have the second set you linked for about 4 years now(2 of them actually) and only broke/lost 1 chip so far. They are good for getting by but they certainly arent casino quality if thats what you're looking for.

Ritz crackers and food coloring.Nothing says domination worse than catching a two outer, raking the chips and then start munching on a $100 chip cause you got so many. But don't play on felt, I use those square folding leg tables, much easier to clean. Draw some cool poker saying with a Sharpie, and you are good to go.

You mean KFL doesnt have poker chips at home yet? WOW I am shocked. That seems like a good deal you pointed out though Kathy.OP I would definatly look around, $200+ seems like too much to spend on chips like that. That set on amazon is about the same as the ones you had plus you get the different button on top forrr wayyyy less. I think I may have to buy a set of those.

I'd go with the 11.5 gram set. The 13.5's are heavier than anything you'll find in a casino. I find it better to play at home with close to the same as you'll play with in the b & m's. IMHO ;-)
Agreed. I like 12.5s personally but I'd go with 11.5 over 13.5 for sure.Mark

your right, i would never pay 200 dollars for a poker chip set. thats what it says they retail for but they are selling it for 54.99i dont really like using amazon or ebay cause u gotta deal with the bidding and having things shipped from a person and not a business...

If you have a Sportmart nearby, you can check that out too. I remembered a few months ago, I saw that the Sportmart in downtown Chicago were selling good quality 500pc chip sets for about $50.
no we dont have any but we do have a sports authority.. i checked there two days ago and they were around $75... i went to the mall and the same set was over $160, i thought it was pretty fun (even though i almost bought it at that price)
