One Of The Worst Bad Beats I Think Ive Ever Taken

Recommended Posts

wow, just wow. the audacity of my bank to do this to me. i have two seperate checking accounts, one to use every day and one for neteller/paypal. i bought two things on ebay, transferred the correct amount of money ($52.31) to that account. My bank charged me 1 cent of interest on it (this is a interest-free bank..?) and because i was one cent short they charged me an NSF fee of $35.00. Im calling rihgt now, and if its not changed, im obviously going to another bank.

On a more positive note, I just saved $150 on my car insurance. So it's not all bad news :club:
i dont know whats worse. the fact that i got charged 35$ for 1 penny, or that every other canadian bank charges like 5$/mth + transaction fees

which bank ya with?
presidents choice.theyre usually good about things, but not having one cent of overdraft is ****ing foolish. and charging me 35$ (yes i know its a standard fee) is as well. worst part is i have no time until saturday to go to the bank, and its not open. i dont want to deal with a phone rep who probably doesnt know what hes doing, but i did email them with a hasty threat. i mean, banks like ING direct offer the same services now. why should i stay there?

The fee is assessed automatically, so don't be shocked by the fact that it was 1 cent that caused it to be applied.Call the bank and I'm sure they'll reverse the charge.

We changed 401-k plans and all money was supposed to be rolled over to the new account automatically. We were suprised when my wife got a check for round $15 several weeks after the transition. Then last week they sent her a check for $.05, I was flabbergasted until one of my employees showed me a check for one frickin penny! Probably cost us $2 in admin fees to send out each of those checks. :club:
