k-10isnogood 0 Posted August 12, 2006 Share Posted August 12, 2006 Wow my first post on the forums. Well I'm a no-limit hold'em player here in Illinois. Anyone in Illinois who plays no limit with me know there is not any no limit games going in our poker rooms, it's all limit. So I am forced to drive 2hrs in traffic to Indiana where the LOVE no limit and fill the room with people from? you guessed it Illinois. Does this make sense to anyone. Now my biggest problem is the 3 casino that have no limit are all of cline ave. Not for those of you in my area who dont know the has been a sniper shooting at people for about amonth and police cant find him. Which means I cant play poker. For all of us in Illinois can anyone think of a way we can force our poker rooms to put in no-limit so I can make a living. Nice to be in the forums. Link to post Share on other sites

Where do you live in Chicago that's 2 hours away from the boats??? I live on the NW side of the city and even w/ traffic all messed up the longest it's ever taken me to get to Resorts is a little over an hour.Second, the time charge at for the NL games are ridiculous - $7/half hour.My advice is play online, or learn to play LHE.Also, where are there legal poker rooms in Illinois. It does not take 2 hours to get to Indiana, take the skyway. If you are concerned about a sniper than you may as well never leave your house. The time is in fact brutal but no worse than the rake you will pay on the internet, or, for that matter, in a B&M room. In conclusion, take the Skyway. Link to post Share on other sites

DCSports92GSR 0 Posted August 12, 2006 Share Posted August 12, 2006 you got it good kid. theres basically ONLY no limit here in stl, and not enough limit games...and I'm a limit player. theres only 3/6, 5/10 ( a non action game with $5 chips ), 30/60 with overs and a 1/2 kill ( way over my bank roll ) and occasionally 50/100 ( again, way over my head ).I'd kill to get some live 10/20 or 20/40 around here Link to post Share on other sites
