There has been at least 1 reported disqualification. Perhaps there have been more unreported ones. The one I read about was a player who was putting chips in his pocket becuase a friend had told him that he could do it. With so many internet players in the ME with little to no casino experience, perhaps there were quite a few disqualifications along these lines. Or perhaps not!Actually wait. I just properly read the opening post, and those numbers are quite large!!Perhaps, and I know this is a long shot, CP made a mistake.

well part of the missing money is taken out of the prize pool. if you look at the buyin it is 10k flat. no add'l money for the house. the missing money is probably the difference that was taken for the house, for the dealers, etc.

They do take that out of the prize pool, but not the chips in play. So, you get 10k in chips even though they do not put that whole amount in the prize pool. That means they buy-in total and the chip total should be the same. I am sure it is a minor error that doesn't make a difference.

:club: Yea, plus the dealers tips in T-Chips. I'm pretty sure everybody starts with 10000 in chips

option 1...they aren't getting everyones count at the same time.option 2...some chips would disappear or appear while chipping up colors
Option 1: Seems quite reasonableOption 2: You dont lose or gain anychips at colour ups.

sure you do, during the chip race if there isn't an even number of spare chips, then there has to be some added or some taken away.e.g.coloring up $100 to $500 chips, now say there is 23 100 chips on the table, that means there is 3 spare, say three players each have one chip. These are raced off by high card, the highest card gets a $500 chip. shazam! $200 in chips added to the table.

My bad. Didnt think that they do colour ups table by table.

For the prize pool, Harrah's takes out 6% of the buyins to pay the dealers, staff, etc. Check the WSOP website, the tournament structure is up there if you look for it. But I don't think that the prize pool is really 94% of the buyins.BTW, since Cardplayer is the contracted online media source for the WSOP, I give more creditability to their numbers than any others. they still might be wrong, but I kinda doubt it.
