SAM_Hard8 50
Ive valet parked at two hotels now and I know at both of them we wouldnt have allowed the guest to ride along in our cars, they are not allowed in the parking lots for liability reasons..and also, I wouldnt ever Valet my car if I was any of you guys. Im really good on the cars because I love cars and understand them, but thats more than i can say for a lot of the losers I work with who are "lifers" and dont give a crap. Unless you want your car stopped by throwing it into reverse, self park. And $5 is a good tip. That's it...I am never parking Valet again.I only valet rental cars.

Abbaddabba 0
I work valet part time as a summer job. $5 is more than most people tip. The vast majority don't tip at all. Who really cares? It's not like we do anything difficult. It's a matter of parking a ****ing car. It takes 2 minutes and it's not a commission based job.If I got a $5 tip from some famous poker player, i'd be thrilled. You meet a celebrity and you get $5.... then I'd go back to playing poker, which is what we do for the vast majority of the time on the job.
Tritz 0
What do you expect? A $20 tip just because he's rich? Get a life.BTW...Custom...can you point out to me where I posted that the $5 tip was crap? You can't huh?Just a topic for Discussion....especially on tipping...Another question: If you suck out on the river to win a big pot....do you tip the dealer a little extra?why would you want to discuss that anyway... i think its weird just because his name is DN you need to discuss how much he tips....want to know what I tipped my waiter at applebees? Don Giovanni 0
Tipping is retarded.HEY YOU DID YOUR JOB....herez more money for it.If you tip waitresses, why dont u tip ppl at mc donalds?thought so.because people at mcdonalds are freakin minimum wage hourly employees. waitresses make like 2.50 an hour, most of their pay comes from tips. thats why. owned. typesick 0
Much of the enjoyment one gets from a dining experience is directly related to the quality of service he receives from the waiter...If the waiter isn't constantly checking on the food, refills, etc...it can really ruin the experience... Instead of charging more for food/drinks so that restaurant owners can pay waiters appropriately, owners choose to have lower prices on the menus...and ultimately allow the customer to essentially determine the pay rate of his waiter...Thus, it is in the waiters own self-interest to provide courteous, expeditious service... typesick 0
Also, next time you go get a haircut, make sure to tell your barber that "tipping is retarded" and that you won't be tipping him...You will soon understand why tipping in the service industry is absolutely necessary... drb75088 0
Actually, parking the car, or bringing it back is easy. Running on that asphalt is a real bummer. My buddy lasted 3 days before he had to take a week off to recover. And at the Rio he averaged about $25-$28 bucks an hour. And if I'm driving my Bently, Rolls, or even Vett, $5, but I'm usually in my pickup, and that't only $1-$2.
