MapleLeafpoker 1,462
double whisky on the rocks. what kind? last couple of years all I drink is Guinness and whisky/scotch. (though if im really looking to drink, then I go to rye+ginger or vodka-soda) in the past I could never touch a straight scotch, ie JW Black, but now Im actually enjoying it. Dubey 1,035
My brother bought me a bottle of really high end Bourbon for my birthday. Blanton's Gold Edition. It was fantastic, and I am usually too much of a baby to drink anything without a mixer

GOCUBSGO 77
266.1 Was definitely expecting to gain a little back this week so I'm pleasantly surprised. Had a few too many cheat meals, but its mostly due to the fact that I'm studying for finals and haven't had much time to prep. I think the biggest thing for me has been cutting out the mindless snacking. No chips, cookies, crackers, etc. seems to have made a huge difference. The most exciting part is I still haven't even incorporated exercise into this plan. Hopefully will begin something next week.
Dubey 1,035
Unfortunately Week5 is also probably not going to be good for me. Leaving Thursday night for 4 day trip to Kelowna to visit my brother and his family, and a few other buddies will also be there. Lots of alchohol will likely be consumed. I am going to try my best to eat healthy and limit the damage. I am also going to skip any drinks for the rest of the week untl Thursday. Damn, summers are tough.
Babying 613
196.8 Not a good week. My girls were bugging me everyday to go to Starbucks since it was happy hour from 3-5. Those drinks are fattening.
iBeaver 409
I think I only lost weight because I for reasons I can't remember, didn't eat dinner 3 times last week.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
197.6 really good week for me for the most part, watched what I ate, and got in my exercise. Good: got to play basketball twice, and had the discipline to run 3 other times. The funny thing is I have so little free time these days, worked both full days Saturday+Sunday. But my free time on both nights went to running+exercise. I also did a bunch of family favours this week and took care of some things at home. I wish I could be this productive with my life all the time. Bad: (but great) 2 Guinness+2 Glenfiddichs on Fri night, with some of the apps being thrown in like sliders, fries, quesidallies. I could have done without the food, it was after dinner and unnecessary. I wish there was a way to drink, without being absolutely starving later that night and early the next morning. Also bad, is that usually with this kind of weight loss, I feel so much better both physically and mentally. But being under a sh*t ton of stress at work, Im not feeling the "joy" of all this like I usually would. How do you guys de-stress? Other than playing sports, nothing really allows me to get away, but even that is temporary. I love being with my son, that gives me all the perspective I need (fck it, if hes healthy and happy, who the fck cares sbout anything else) but sometimes even that is not enough. Any tips friends?
Dubey 1,035
Golf for me. I don't have a ton of stress in my life but if I do have a particularly stressful day at work nothing unwinds me better than a few hours on the golf course. I also find walking outside in the evening to be a bit of a stress reliever. Anyway, my weigh in: 246 (+1.8) Actually not as bad as I thought. 3 straight days of pool time, drinking and bad food in Kelowna. I actually didn't eat too terribly but drank fairly excessively after the kids went to bed. The good news is I believe this will be the last really bad weekend for me until July, so I should be able to buckle down for the rest of this competition. Doubt I'll be able to catch Arp, though that's not really the point anyway

I grab the kids (usually my daughters) and go somewhere. We hit the batting cage, driving range, go to Chapters/Golftown, etc. The kids are bugging me to hit the golf course soon since it is warmer now. This past weekend was gross but we were still out all day with softball games/practices.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
thanks for the suggestions guys. I think Ill incorporate both of your suggestions, and take my son for a walk outside.
iBeaver 409
I feel bad now because my stress is...my kid. Lol When stressed I use that time to get out of the house and ride my bike or even just go grocery shopping. I think spending everyday together for 4.5 yrs might make him and I needing a little alone time now and then.
Babying 613
Hey enjoy the kids now. You know when they are older they don't want to hang around with you Otto wants to go to Brock so he can get out of the house

I would think this would apply for anyone in your situation. 4.5yrs of everyday is a LONG time. Good for you though, must have been a real joy to watch him grow and be so close. iBeaver 409
Definitely do not regret it. But he can be a little shit. And the last 3 weeks has been the "I'm 5, I'm the boss, I will push your buttons till you cry" phase. How it goes away soon. Only 15 days left of school. The good thing is outside the house he's nice. Went to his friends bday party Saturday and the had a piñata and one of the very young kids was crying because he didn't get any candy and Jin gave him almost all his candy. Which Jin and candy are very hard to separate. On the way home he said he was tired because he was cranky and it's a lot of work to be nice. Lol. So when we get home he destroys us. It's our last real summer together since I should start back to the working world on September. Hope we can have fun. Already booked a beach trip. Trip to Chicago. Trip to see the mud hens and stay over and Toledo zoo the day after. Set up some stuff with his friends. So should be fun. I hope.
GOCUBSGO 77
Forgot to do this earlier, but 265.3 today. Not much change since last week. Done with finals now so I plan to start exercising a lot more.
iBeaver 409
Did a 10.5k step walk after school today (pics on Facebook). I hope I lost 6 lbs.

GOCUBSGO 77
261.2 (-4.1) which I think is my biggest weekly loss to date. can almost guarantee that it is a result of preparing to move. I've been going up and down the 3 flights of stairs in my building probably 20x per day for the last several days. moving sucks but its good exercise.
