didn't have a great week eating wise, but I walked 18 holes yesterday carrying my bag, plus mowed my lawn, and I didn't really drink anything all week.

 

 

I've now reached my original goal of 235, and I am now lighter than I've been in probably 10 years. Going to push for 230 before Vegas and see how I feel. I definitely still feel like I would like to lose a few more pounds, or maybe replace a bit of my fat with muscle.

Still trending in the right direction, but I would really like to lose about 30 more pounds. Obviously won't happen by our deadline, but maybe something to shoot for by the end of the year.

 

Social life is such a killer. Beers, food, etc with coworkers and friends. It's always hard to say no.

ain't that the truth.

 

Most of my social group has kids now, so I don't get to the pub much anymore, which is good for the weight loss and the bank account, if not the social life. Most of my "social" activities now are either having friends over for dinner/drinks or golfing. none of those involve salty pub food.

 

 

One thing I've realized, is if I eat a healthy/low calorie breakfast and lunch, I can still lose weight if I drink 3 or 4 beers in the evening, or if I have bad meal in the evening a few times a week, but I can't lose weight if I drink AND eat unhealthy in the evening.

 

 

I'm definitely going to continue having a shake for breakfast every day and making my own lunch after this competition is over, I think that will be key to not putting the weight back on over the next couple of years.

That's so true. Ive been testing out having the odd beer now and again and it's like every night there's some sort of social thing. And I barely have non-Internet friends.

I keep forgetting to weigh myself but will be curious to see how this week goes as these are my steps this week so far and good chance I'm over 10k the next 3 days.

 

13183-Thursday

11453-Wednesday

13182-Tuesday

9187-Monday

 

Before summer getting 4500 steps was an accomplishment

wow that's a lot. I pretty much never get to 10k, even being more active now. If I go for a long walk in the evening (45 minutes to an hour), I'll hit 8-9k for the day.

 

I did hit 15k on Monday when I walked 18 holes, which I will probably be doing a little more often this summer.

Had some friends visit for the weekend, and ate/drank pretty unhealthy. Mostly just retained water though as I weighed myself this morning and I'm already back down to 234.5.

 

Hoping for a good final week. I'm going to BC to visit my sister Thursday-Sunday but her family always eats really healthy and doesn't drink much so it shouldn't be an unhealthy weekend.

 

unfortunately I'm starting to get sick which will limit my exercise this week, but thank god it's happening this week and not next week before Vegas. I'm on the full Cold FX regiment, and I'm hoping my recent healthy eating will help me overcome this one quicker, and I won't have any lingering effects in Vegas.

I planned this poorly. I'm travelling today so won't have access to a scale till tomorrow. I'll post my final weigh in first thing tomorrow morning. Pretty sure Arp has this locked up anyway.

Could not weigh myself this morning, truly messed up morning that thankfully was not as bad as it started.

 

weight tonight: 196.2

could not get back to the 190 I was at the start of June. My goal is to get to 185 by end of this summer, but at least 190.

 

Im good with going again if others want to use it as motivation, though I cant see me losing much from here on out.

Arp you should weigh yourself tomorrow morning for your official final weigh in. Not fair for you using a night weigh in. Usually a 1-2 lb difference for the better in the morning

youre such a good guy!

 

that number might actually be low considering that I have had a throat so sore, I couldnt swallow much of anything from Saturday afternoon til this afternoon.

garlic, honey and liquids probably dropped me down, til i could finally truly eat tonight.

 

lets see what tomorrow brings anyway. good luck! lol
