Zach6668 513
Yes. The bet was for Sid to win or tie for the goal scoring lead.

pezeveng 207
Lets get some love for these Capitals..They are annihilating the competition, scoring a ton of goals and they look unstoppable.10 in a row is impressing, while there have been some weak opponents in there, whenever you can win 10 in a row in the NHL its a big accomplishment.actually they have won 13 of 14...And 12 of those wins have been in regulation...Pretty impressive stuff..They are currently 23 pts ahead of second place in their division....The Southeast division is probably the weakest after the Caps, but they are just dominating. They have a GFA of 3.77 which is a full half a goal better than second place San Jose. While the knock on the Caps has been defence they are close to the top 10 in GAA as well.Even though Ovechkin missed 8 games, he is in a position to win the Art Ross, Rocket Richard and will challenge for MVP.The biggest question still remains is Theodore a Stanley Cup winning goalie?? or will Neuwirth carry the team deep??How do you not mention the Leafs have beat them twice this year. Also they do not want to face the Leafs in the first round so they are hoping the Leafs don't finish in 8th.

Much more talent on their roster at the time than there is on the Leafs right now.Hang on to the dream though, buddy.

mrdannyg 274
Zach, I will bet $25 at 7:1 on Crosby winning or tying for the goal-scoring lead. TAKE THE HEDGE.
serge 904
pretty ridicolous game...i see an Ovechkin hat trick Empty net goal in the future
serge 904
As awesome as Ovechkin's 39 goals in 50 games...Was reminded of Gretzky record of 50 goals in 39 games..Rumour is Ovechkin is clearing out space in his home to put some trophies:Art Ross,Rocket Richard, MVP and Stanley Cup..The year of Ovy??Big hockey game today on Super Bowl Sunday..Go OVy
Ottawa_Biatch 288
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, what a game!!!!!!!CAPITALS ARE THE BEST!!! OVIEEEE IS THE BEST
Speed Limit 0
Capitals played like crap but get the win for 14 in a row. Epic game, Ovechkin is still good. Put on my Ovi jersey after the first period, then he goes and gets 4 points. This game will be better than the super bowl.
serge 904
The Caps have scored 4 or more goals in 12 of the 14 wins in their streak..Before the break they play Montreal, Ottawa and St louis..17 in a row before the break??
Fenxis 99
gg, not sure how the Caps didn't win the game tonight (vs Sens).

Fenxis 99
AO...27:42 of ice time tonight. Only 1 point. Sens smothered him with Alfie / Fisher / Kelly line matchup ; hence Semin's hatty.
Zach6668 513
Sens smothered him with Alfie / Fisher / Kelly line matchup ; hence Semin's hatty.I didn't pay a ton of attention, but when I did it was "Ovechkin shot! BLOCKED BY VOLCHENKOV!", like non-stop.

Zach6668 513
its going to be really interesting seeing Volchenkov's next contract.More than Scuderi?(3.4M per season over 4 years)
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
More than Scuderi?(3.4M per season over 4 years)I think so, unless he takes some kind of home team discount.Ill be suprised if he doesnt make 4 or more per for 4yrs.
Zach6668 513
I think a better comparison is Orpik. 3.75 over 6 years. I agree though, I think he'll get more than that, and I think he should, too. I don't think the Sens can afford $4.5 per year.
Fenxis 99
I didn't pay a ton of attention, but when I did it was "Ovechkin shot! BLOCKED BY VOLCHENKOV!", like non-stop.That's pretty much Volchenkov every game though.http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=723779"Dream on... Unless Volchenkov never listen to his agent and decides he is the less greedy guy ever (ala Alfie), then he'd take a huge hometown discount. Volchenkov can easily get 4.5-5.0 on the UFA market...Just a few examples :Komisarek : 4.5Scuderi : 3.4Orpik : 3.75Hannan : 4.5B.Jackman : 3.625Brewer : 4.25Commodore : 3.75Sarich : 3.6Ballard : 4.2B.Clark : 3.5Volchenkov is arguably the best of the bunch, with Ballard who is better offensively..."Some of those are overpayments, true, but if Volchenkov goes to UFA it will happen. Plus it looks like he's finding his offensive game this season.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
They forgot Finger on that list. Oh, and Volchenkov and his 0pts was the first star in a 6-5 game. Nice.
