s_pkrstr_s 0
Congrats. I started somthing similar in May with 125 and 5 tabling 10NL. Moved up to 25NL at 500 and Currently 6 tabling 25NL with a bankroll around 1200.Going to move up to 50NL anytime now. Im a university student and recently quit my part time job to have more time to do this. Ive also hit a few rough patches on the way where i dropped 8-10 buying or around $250Definatelty think this is an awesome way to prepare yourself for higher limit poker, learn to crush one level at a time then jump up when your comfortable. If your not successful at the higher level you can drop back down at the level you know you can beat. This happened to me when i went up to 25NL, won about 100 right away then lost over 200 so i dropped back to 10NL and moved back up.Congrats and GL with your challenge! Also Ive been playing for 4 years or so just used to play SNGs mainly and decided to move into this with my leftover bankroll. I'm only 18 so this is my poker bankroll. I started out playing only ring games, and then when that grew old I started playing sng's. It wasn't long until that grew old too so I went back to cash games; which is what I'm doing now. Eventually I'll be back to sng's.Hopefully I'll be able to play a lot more this weekend, I haven't been able to play as much as I'd like. Thanks for the reply

DemonDonk 0
I'm kinda doing the same as you, I'm around $500 atm, grinding 10nl but taking shots at 25nl. I don't play tourneys because they're evil and take my money. How long have you been taking poker seriously for?
terry3111 0
I wouldn't call this a challenge because it's my bankroll and im trying to grind it up. About a month ago I deposited $50 on Pokerstars and as of right now it's at $128.41. I've been playing 4 tables of .02/.05 NL, buy in for $5 for about 2 hours a day. Once I have 10% of my bankroll in play I leave that table and switch to another. I dont do much/any tournaments. When I get 70 FPP I use those and enter a 10 player satelite to the 200k guarentee. I've played 3 of those so far and ive took 2nd, 2nd, 1st. I just cashed out my T$. I need 290 more FPP and I get a $50 bonus. So it's looking pretty good so far. When I get $150 I'm going to up my stakes to .05/.10. Until then 5nl I go! I'll try to update you as I go.Update: Sorry I havent been paying much attention to this, I will now continue with it. Let me catch you up.I've jumped stakes to .05/.10 because I've hit $150, 6 tables. I've found that I can make great profit at 6 tables.Because I cant post my number of hands, I didnt record them, I will just continue it at my current bankroll.I just had a big session, $16 in about 1 hour of playing.**Old news is italicizedLook below for updatesThe BOLD number below is my current bankrollRing Game Results.05/.10+$6.80+$0.80 (Was up $5 on the session, then my KK ran into AA preflop.)-$3.65 (My aces got cracked twice, played them cautiously too. 00Lenny 0
After spending the summer doing tournies/SnG's and having some decent success there, I had to cash out most of the BR and move back to the 5NL tables recently. I'm up to about $220 and grinding 10NL now, so I'll be running into you again soon, Donk You still play at stars I hope?

DemonDonk 0
Saw you at one of my tables today, and I was like 'isn't that that guy from FCP who is trying to build a bankroll?' lol.Don't worry about those break even stretches, I'm in one myself I win some money at 10nl take shots at 25nl lose it, drop down again etc etc. As long as you are playing well and trying to improve you'll break out of it. DemonDonk 0
Hey donk1989, hows it going? I remember seeing you at a table about 2-3 weeks ago at 10nl, I embarked on a project like yours about 5 months ago, I made a topic about it, but that was just me ranting about the variance, but lo and behold:I'm not trying to post a brag (ok a little), but just wanted to wish you good luck and anyone else doing the same. It can be done!

TheDonk1989 0
Running really bad... back down to $560Lost about $60 or so playing 45 man turbos, ran the worse in my life lmaoLost the rest playing 10nl, running terrible. Probably lost 3/4 of it running bad and 1/4 tilt/could've played betterPlayed for an hour today and lost $6, I lost $15 alone when I flopped a set and rivered full house led to someone else's bigger full house.First time I flopped a set and guy turned bigger set, board paired on the river.Second time, guy called me down with top two when I had a set and rivered his full house. Royal_Tour 0
and royal did iti did.a couple times over.its just too bad i'm not 21 with zero expenses. but i've said that enough times i sound like a bitter old man.But seriously, cant stress it enough... Online poker is great when you have a BR that allows you to multi table. Majority of people can do this if they play a lower limit. But the lower limits can be boring,(for me) can be often awkward, especially since sometimes at 50NL you'll have total amateurs and some kids who post at FCP at the same table.with live. You spot the amateurs from the good players before you even sit down. You focus yourself in 1 game. as long as you dont go into robot mode you'll be fine.If you have a casino nearby with decent games/structure. Its a +EV decision to take a chance, bring 450 of your roll with you. play some 1/2NL buyin for 150. You have 3 buyins that way. and just play standard tight poker.you arent going to win a hell of a lot unless you get lucky, buut you're there to just make a few hundred and help get yourself up a limit online.
