    great poker site

and I was under the impression draw poker was dead..when in fact it seems to be the game of choice of hot chicks who get naked.. lol
  3. Yah I like the canucks, although with this lock out and all who knows who will be back with the team once play resumes ( most notably nazzy) and of course hopefuly management gains some sense and gets rid of cloutier, god is he terrible.
  4. I am on poker stars right now, although my luck doesnt seem to be as good as yours i've gotten 2 full boats in a 10 min span. although the reason i am online is just to waste time before i go out and get hammered lol.
  5. If you don't want to lose money while your initially learning new games you can always play online with play money or something. that way you can get the grasp of betting and playing without anything coming out of your own pocket.
  6. yah the recent years have definitely not been as good as years past. I too agree with chuck, seems like every episode they've got some new star on as a guest while the plot lines suffer terribly.
  7. haha yah I've done #11 before, the looks you get from the people who work there when you pull up to the window to get your food are priceless.
  8. this one time when I was playng phil hellmuth heads up, i saw the reflection of his cards in his glasses, and proceeded to knock him out that very hand, does that count?
  9. pokerstarben is my favourite superhero, how he busts his arch nemesis phil helmuth everytime with seemingly rag hands is truly heroic. his powers are that he's pyschic because he always makes his hand on the river just like he knew he would all along.
  10. I think from now on there should be a sarcasm font color and you type in that color to avoid such misunderstandings as what happened in this thread. I'm thinking red will do the trick, what do you guys think?
  11. yah they only run in canada. As for the site itself I think it sucks, or at least it did when i checked it out a while back. They don't offer much in the way of SnG's or tourney's.
  12. lol your're correct dead money, should be 6:00 PST and 9:00 EST
  13. The score is a sports channel here in canada along the lines of ESPN etc. you can try www.thescore.ca Not sure if they will have a video clip of the interview or not.
  14. haha yah he was chirpin James pretty good.. that was funny.
  15. I'm just watching our man Danny on the Score as I type this and he's giving a great interview, answering phone questions and emails as well as going over basic poker strategy. Awesome job Danny! hope everyone is watching this.
  16. I was curious myself, so I googled it:"Freemasonry is one of the world's oldest fraternal organizations. The lessons Freemasonry teaches in its ceremonies, are to do with moral values. Freemasonry's acknowledgement, without crossing the boundaries of religion, is that everything depends on the providence of God. Freemasons feel that these lessons apply as much today as they did when it took its modern form at the turn of the 17th century."
  17. thats awesome, congrats theresa, wish I had your luck with me at the tables last night lol.
  18. Nicely said K-Dawg, sorry to hear about your friend thats down right aweful. There are many things about addiction and the consequences of it that alot of us know very little about, myself included. the original post actually has merit in the psych world, and as mentioned certainly wasn't meant to mock terrible addictions such as drugs etc. As a side note, I've enjoyed reading your strategy blog that you, wrto and another poster who's name slips my memory have formed.
  19. Lacrosse goalies wear knee pads, their like a hybrid sort of of back catchers shin gaurds from baseball. but i agree, being a goalie in lacrosse would be insanse given how fast they can release that ball.

It's entirely possible that he's conditioned himself to have a positive physiological response. Also, alcohol has profound chemical effects. Believe in addictions, they're not a dependency on a chemical, they're a dependency on the biochemical reaction to it. You CAN be compulsive with almost any behavior, the brain is an amazing thing. Its totally true, I major is pyschology and what he's describing is what behaviourist pyschologists refer to as classical conditioning.
