  1. J with an offsuit low card is Jackshit
  2. Did any of you take the time to read the article?I think she acted appropriately. If some ******* woke up and physically pushed me they would get a lot worse than "Excuse you!" or "Its not my fault you can't eat properly." This has nothing to do with weight and everything to do with a jerk trying to push someone else around.
  3. Someone breaks up with you over email and you should call them? Are you serious? The fact alone that she broke up with the guy in an email is enough to forget her. Lesson learned: wait until tourney is over before reading email.
  4. I've been around people for 31 years and these are things I've seen them do when they weren't high1. drive impaired (and sometimes kill people in accidents) "okay admittedly they were drunk"2. beat their spouses3. rob people 4. steal 5. neglect their kids 6. commit suicide7. murder someoneTeach your kids about drugs, tell them how they make you feel what it does to their bodies and then let them decide. The paranoia culture a lot of people show in the States and Canada is just idiotic. Is it smart to fill jjails with people that use substances that in many cases are less harmful than alcohol
  5. another great canada song that South Park did was "Follow the only road", and watch out for Scott.....he's a dick I don't know that one. I guess they're referring to the TCH but who the hell is scott
  6. I have a money list ranking on the CPT (Canadian Poker Tour) but I am in no ways a pro. Just managed to finish in the money in a couple of events I played. Can I call myself a semi-pro?
  7. I can beat that story. New table, five hands played.I call with AJ, Big blind raises minimum so I call the raise.Flop comes A,K,J rainbow.I put out a nice bet. Big blind pushes all-in. He's shortstacked, I call afraid I'm going to see a set of Jacks or AK.He has A,2 offsuit, WTF.Turn brings a K and the river is a rag.My Jacks are no good anymore because of the Paired Kings and the Jack on the board plays as the kicker. $%*^#
  8. The guy that threw the pizza coupon is a f^&*ing *******. The people that laughed about it are worse. What I hate seeing is peole playing 15-30 or $100 tourneys with rotten teeth. Take your buy-in and go get them fixed.
  9. Thats not true. My case was about my ex-wife beating up my 88' camaro and not paying the repair bill. Something about me living at her place with her ma rent-free tilted the verdict. I hates that judge.Winston Churchill would have been a great poker player. Bit of a gambler, highly aggressive, fearless, and a great reader of the situation at hand. Slick Willy Clinton could probably handle himself at a table too. Smooth talker, highly intelligent, keeps a couple of ladies at a time, and lie/bluff with the best of them.
  10. What? I dont post much but Judge f*cking Judy? Come on. She's a friggin moron. She decides as soon as she sees the people who's right and who's wrong and then spends 15 minutes crapping on both of them. I'd love to play her in poker. She'd be a sheriff for sure. After I took all her money I'd look at her and say in my best Judge Judy imitation (which admittedly would be very bad) "What are you, some kind of moron?" Sorry man good topic but I frigging despise Judge Judy. Power-tripping, vulgar, rude, biased, stupid, cow. I think Mr T would be a good player. I pity the fool that calls my Aces
  11. JR is the second best American hockey player of his generation with only Modano in front of him. Phil is definitely entertaining and I'd be more interested in meeting him then most of the big poker names.
  12. All I can say is why are you taking a risk on the K,2 suited that late when you know you wouldn't play it usually. I'm assuming that from the line... After the flop I think you played it pretty close to perfect. Just a crappy beat from a guy who was probably as tired as you.
  13. Doyle also says he often does slowplay Aces or Kings from early position or from middle position if he is the first to enter the pot in order to re-raise if someone comes in for a raise behind him. Nice try.Doyle was talking about ring games and not a tournament. When I first read his book I had a hard time differentiating the two and tried slowplaying my Aces or Kings in tournaments to bad results. Every now and then I'll slowplay UTG if I'm sure I'll get a raise but most of the time I'll at least give them a healthy 3XBB bump and hope for the re-raise.
  14. I was at Game 6 last year here in Calgary when the Refs (and everyone else) missed Gelina's Stanley Cup winning goal. Watching them have to travel back to Tampa and lose now thats heartbreak.
  15. I was in a SnG today and had Q,Q against an all-in caller and another short stack. The flop comes 2,Q,2, I hit the full house.Whats the correct play here? Unless the guy is in with pocket 2s I have the nuts. Should I bet all-in to let the guy know I have the nuts or should I keep the sidepot dry?I checked it and the other guy took care of my indecision for me. He bet half his stack. I typed, "Shouldn't have bet" and raised him all-in. What do you guys think is the correct play when you flop the nuts (or as close to the nuts as you can get) and there's a dry side pot?
