  1. was in the thread: buy micon's lucky anti-degenerate gambling bracelet!First post was...Spence: I just threw up in my mouth.
  2. the topic is over the top, but I'm 100% serious.I don't mean just online poker, its obviously just in a lull with the recent happenings, but recently I've seen people returning from Vegas saying the poker rooms in places are pretty dead.Could the 'boom' be over now? I understand it couldn't have kept on growing at the rate it was, but has it hit its peak, and is it goign to start to dwindle back down.If thats the case, how low will it go?I am sure I'll get some witty responses in general forum, and I'd be mightly upset if I didn't, but it's a very serious question I have. I have recently sta
  3. More risk/reward in poker.More information known in stock market if you research hard enough. If the person lost 200k in the stock market then he had bad bankroll management (or he had a very nice bankroll built up).Whats fairer? Definitely Poker.
  4. Looks like it's back up.
  5. Just listened to the conference call from last quarter. Very interesting stuff. Enough so that I'll probably lay some decent money on the line for it. I'll give you an exact figure tommorow so you can keep track of how its doing as a company and I'll periodically update it if you'd like. I'll probably scale in over a couple of days, had a nice uptick today, I don't know if thats because of any news or if it was just going with the momentum of the market, that'll be seen tommorow sure hope it goes down though.
  6. wow, I am really impressed by this. It's a win win for casino's, more rake, not having to pay dealers. wow is all I can say. Very speculative but..wow. Of course you miss out on alot, but so many people have never been to a casino it'll at least ease them in to it.Hmmm, GD, I don't know what to do.
  7. im 95% sure actuary is pulling your chains. He has a point though, there are more losers than their are winners in poker, but most do it for recreation and don't mind the loss.Either way, instead of betting on poker, bet on the poker companies in ze stock market. Same rush you've grown accustomed to for the first couple weeks or even month.
  8. You will hardly ever correctly identify the true bottom or top of a stock. I have only done it once in hundreds of transactions, and people who do it for a living and are the best say finding the true bottom or top is less than 1%. The best way to buy stocks when they have fallen as these ones have is to scale in to them. Buy 1/4th or 1/3rd the shares now, and if it falls lower buy some more, and if it falls again buy for the 3rd time, and if it falls for a 4th time go ahead and put more on. This allows for a lower mean, and a better profit as it climbs back up (If it climbs back up) .Do n
  9. Stock prices are indicative of the future or the promise that a company or entity has. Even though they are generating good cash flow at the present moment, if there is a downward trend, the stock price will dictate that.I, personally am VERY excited about getting in to some stocks that have fallen tremendously in the last few days.I will not do so for a few weeks or maybe even months, but I will wait until I feel it is priced in correctly with relation to what they are expected to make WITHOUT the U.S. At that point I feel the risk/reward is MUCH higher than just about every other stock on
  10. I can hear when he goes off-key, but if he's got whats needed to be a great singer, just needs to be willing to work on it.Guitar player is good though, thanks for the link, I like the scarlett Sweater.
  11. Hmm, i like it overall. lol. I even think the singer was decent. Not all music is about key.
  12. I'm excited to see how far this goes down. If it goes down low enough I see it being a good value. I'll have to crunch #'s etc, I'll look at it over the weekend.
  13. wow, I'm really tempted to go long on this stock lol.Gonna have to research this.
  14. Or maybe he plays to have fun?
  15. I think you're correct. There are few fewer fish. People are starting to value hands correctly I think is the biggest change. You can still sit down at a table and run your buy-in up to 4-8x, just have to mix up your play now, or go on a huge rush.
  16. Same problem here. I've been pretty much veggin out though lately not doing anything. I think it's important to excercise during the day in order to sleep soundly at night or else you tend to feel groggy in the morning as opposed to well rested.Monday I'm starting a men's health abs diet, and will be working out etc, I'll let you know if it helps at all.It sucks always feeling tired except at 11-1am.I think the worst part is effing family guy on cartoon network at 3am, it basically forces me to stay up till 3:30.
  17. A flat call of a 1/3 bet on a T87 board is strong?I don't know, maybe I'm just not seeing it. I understand the idea of trying to hide the strength of your hand, but if you got TT/88/77 would you really want your opponent drawing at his hand so cheaply?AK, seriously, I'm probably not c-betting that flop. Maybe it's a hole in my game, but the majority of the time I'll slow up, and if I do bet, I sure as hell wouldn't make a 1/3 pot sized bet. At least 1/2, probably more.As to your question. If somebody flat-called my bet there with QQ I am betting out 3/4 pot on turn.
  18. Not reading replies. I like the flop call he has a deep enough stack that you have the implied odds. I actually don't mind a turn call either. I'm sure most are advocating a raise, but I'd rather play a smaller pot with this dangerous of a board or fill up and win a little less against a flush (But at least I got the money in when I was the favorite).
  19. Haven't read any of the responses. But I say call. It's quite obvious he has 77 or 88 and is trying to see where he's at. <sw>This is exactly why playing passively in NL pays off. People like to bet with weak hands, and you force yourself to call even if you think you might be beat, because of how weak you played the hand. You give yourself more % for the bluff, and I think online it brings it up to the norm. Maybe we should all adjust the % for bluff up a few points, and we might be able to make more educated decisions. We give online players far too much credit
  20. He bets $10 in to a $30+ pot. You have JJ on T87 flop and raise the WEAK bet. He raises to $80, showing that his first bet was somebody looking to trap, and you make the correct fold.People advocating smooth calling the flop. Turn comes 2o. Theres $57 in pot. He bets out $20-25. Do you call, fold, raise? What if he bets $50, because he took your call on such a weak bet as weakness (as well he should the majority of the time unless you have a monster). Are you calling a pot sized bet with a measly pair?Curious to what you guys would do in that spot is all. I like the OP's line.
  21. Call or raise to $45-50 and fold to push. Or make a crying call, it's up to you.I like the call more in that situation though.
  22. he won the money. How can it be a bad play?
  23. hahasnip snip.pinch pinch.
  24. Batch you are retarded. Thanks for your time.If you want a good rush play 10/20 LHE HU with your $330.If you get on a decent streak can get $1000 real fast.Just my 2 cents.
