  1. Congrats! I'm hoping to make it down there before the main event. You're a lucky guy, my wife refuses to let me teach her to play. Are you guys planning on playing any larger buy in's?AK
  2. Yeah it was right after the "how long do these last post". We've only got 67 in lets go people!
  3. Yeah I saw this come on and didn't recognize anyone at the table except Carlos so I didn't watch for more the ten minutes. I wish I would have seen this thread to watch one of our own. Anyway, congrats on making the FT Mark.
  4. It's been a while but I'm gonna get back into these. It looks like the numbers dropped late last quarter, how many are we expecting?
  5. Time to get to work at Bodog.
  6. Another excellent example of tax dollars hard at work.
  7. I haven't read the entire clause in the Safe Port act but I've heard some people say that the reason they included the online gambling clause had something to do with terrorist activity? WTF? Since when do we simply cut off a medium that has some remote possibility of harming this country? After 9/11 did the government shut down all air travel forever? No they found a way to deal with the problem, not that the solution was the best but it was a solution. I hate how this government shys away from doing their jobs by simply outlawing whatever it is they decide not to approve of. I watched
  8. Vote Libertarian! We need to spread the word!
  9. I'm going to find a back alley poker game and grind it out like Dolly did in the good ole days before the government decided to park it on my living room couch.
  10. Even if party and stars jump ship someone will stay around and pick up all the US market. At the very most this will give a smaller site to become the new flagship of online poker. One way or another they will not be able to enforce this "law" there will be loop holes and people will find them. I really hope enough people care about this to really make a significant difference in the upcoming elections. VOTE DEMOCRAT OR LIBERTARIAN! (Did I really just write that?)Anyone know Frist's home address? Two words: Hate mail!
  11. According to what I've read, institutions have 270 days to come with regulatory measures to accomodate this bill. I would imagine that you have that much time to pull your funds if this sticks.
  12. Yeah it is and it's great. Except for the SB play and on the button with no one in I don't agree with the play, it does happen a lot however and be glad that it does. Look for the guys that do this and you'll easily take their stack.
  13. The UTG limp, call is either a total donk play or most likely a monster and it's a dead giveaway. With that in mind I lay down the jacks pre-flop and definitely after the flop, that's an awful flop.
  14. Personally, this early on with no reads I like calling pre-flop but I could be convinced of the raise. I like the bet just not that much, again with no reads you don't know what is out there. Re-evaluate after all the flop action, if many call either way i'd be cautious. Chances are lower flush draws are going to play and only made flushes would play back at you.
  15. I like this play if you have something solid on the SB. Chances are if he picks up anything he's playing with his stack and 46 doesn't fare well against two opponents, then again if you hit you triple your $ if the SB plays. Despite the SB I like this play.
  16. I'd raise the flop:Turn: Bet to you, call. Check to you, bet 1/2 potRiver: Bet to you after reraise on flop and call on turn, I fold. If he calls the turn and checks, i check behind him, if he bets after the call i think i lay it down.If you raise the flop and he bets into you on the turn I put him on a strong ace, if he check the turn and bets the river I would say weak suited ace. The point of the raise on the flop is to slow him down if he too is on a flush draw with something like JT, again you don't know what that min raise means or what kind of player you're up against.
  17. I agree, preflop you're at best about 50/50 or slightly better. You're calling 120K after committing 80K into a 280K pot but I don't see the need in this situation. You know the guy is crazy, I'd slow play something preflop even as weak as AJ or AT but only if it's the two of you in or left to act. I'd wait for a better spot. That could also be bacause pp's have been doing nothing for me lately.
  18. Wouldn't there be 3575 in the pot pre-flop?Ante: 125UTG - 650 All in2 FoldButton - 1300SB - 100 + 1200BB - 200 FoldTotal pre-flop: 3575 + flop bet putting you all in so 2200?After reading this a few times through I like 88 or 99 for the SB maybe JJ. Any pair bigger than JJ I don't he would have jammed IMO depends on how he's dealt this this situation. You also mention he likes Ax and depending on his level of aggression could be trying to push you out with A7 or A6. Worse case you are about a 10:1 against a higher pair, best case you are a 4:1 favorite. Pot is laying almost 3:1. Ok with t
  19. Just general tournament players from what we saw. I don't know, Gold was run down by the deck, he almost won a pot he wasn't even in. Granted Money hasn't done much and won't do much more but seriously I think the players at Gold's table were just shell shocked at the hands he was catching.
  20. Ok, I know there are like twenty threads going on this guy and trust me I'm not a fan of Moneymaker but I give him the knod against a guy that plays 52 and 34.Opinions?
  21. His action on the flop tells you nothing if you don't raise pre-flop. "...pretty standard for Aces to check the flop here to not chase the market away unless its a coordinated board" so he checks, could be a made hand, could be nothing. If he still leads at the pot with a reraise you can lay it down almost KNOWING you are beat, if he check and you lead and play after this basically tells you his hand, if he calls you slow down, if he raises you're done, and if he folds... well hey that's what we want. You want to either to collect the pot on the flop or get out if you reraise preflop. Without
