shufly 0
I'm very disappointed that I bought Stacked with Daniel Negreanu for Xbox from Best Buy, where the return policy on opened software is only open to an exchange for the same product. Let me start by saying I will never purchase another product produced by Myelin Media ever again, and unfortunately I'll have to be weary of anything Daniel puts his name on in the future.First of all, it has been very hard for me to finish a single tournament in Stacked. I came in 1st in a MTT in the Single Player mode, and then after the tournament the game stopped working before I could save my progress due to a 'Dirty or Damaged' disc error. Fine, my Xbox is kind of old. So I took it to my parents house who have a brand new Xbox, and I wanted to get started on the career mode so I entered the V.I.P. Qualifier MTT, came in first, and then ran into the same problem, on a brand new Xbox, only played on for a handful of hours before my parents shelved it for their new Xbox 360.Okay, so the game wont save, that really sucks, but I can always forget about the single player and start playing online, but...I just don't think I want to play Stacked until it is patched or someone offers to buy it from me for the full retail price. I wrote a letter to Myelin Media customer support for Stacked regarding an issue in the game, and I honestly don't think I want to play a poker game made by a company that puts so little effort into figuring out the rules of poker before shipping their software. My biggest peeve with the game is that on several occasions, situations have come up where there should be a split pot, but the 'dealer' awards the pot to only one of the players eligible for the split. In situation A, there were two players in to the river on a board of AAJJJ. One player turned up K2, the other 33. The 'dealer' announced “Full House” and awarded the whole pot to the player with pocket 3's. Of course, in Hold'Em, the best 5-card hand wins, both players' best 5-card hand was AAJJJ, but the pot was awarded to the player with 33 instead of being split. Here is what a representative from Myelin Media had to say:“Hello,The player must make the best 5 card hand, but must include at least 1 of the cards from his hole cards, or 2. As the board is identical for all players, they then need to look to see the best hands that they can make using their whole cards. The pocket 3s is clearly the better hand to combine with the board, so the result is correct.Best Regards,Dan W. at Myelin Media Technical Supportsupport@myelinmedia.com”Of course, anyone who plays Hold'em knows that in every casino, brick and mortar and online, the best 5-card hand wins regardless of how many hole cards you use. This situation came up again when two players were all in before the flop, each holding A6o. By the river, the board had no possible flush, and each player had made a pair of sixes. The 'dealer' announced “Pair” and awarded the pot to one of the players, eliminating the other from the tournament. That should have been a split pot, they both had the same hand and were each using the same amount of hole cards to make that hand. Dan W, please explain that one.In conclusion, I am very disappointed with Stacked, and very upset that it is endorsed by one of my favorite poker players. Myelin Media doesn't take the game of poker seriously, and I think everyone would be best served to not take Myelin Media and their gaming products very seriously, either. 2paclives 0
one time I was playing NCAA 2005 and was undefeated after 7 games. All of a sudden I was losing to a poor team, all of a sudden I was throwing interceptions, my plays that always work, weren't working... WTFC?
bigbadbeat 0
while i applaud DN and all the other poker pros who are trying to put out poker video games, the simple fact is that any AI developed cannot possibly hope to compete with human poker players, and we already have any number of ways to play online from play money to the upper limits. We dont need more of the same ways to play poker. Any video game will suck, because the real deal is already out there. Download your favorite pokerroom, play against real people, learn and enjoy. Highlow16 0
If you finish 1st two times in a row in mtt on the game then something is probably wrong. Im not talking sheit but hey come on. I mean DN is getting flamed for not winning every tournament so why not right?

cu in 4years Dan 1
what do you expect. it is a video game made more for gamers, not for poker players. you want to play poker play poker not a video game. the whole idea of a poker video game to me is dumb when you can go online and play right now. jaaaaakke 0
First of and foremost, this is VERY IMPORTANT that OP posted this about stacked. This gives very LITTLE credibility to anything what Daniel puts his name on. How many times have we heard him say that he was delaying or that the company was delaying the game, to meet his "standards", otherwise he wouldnt have it out on the market.IF what OP is saying is true about the error on split pots, Negreanu should rethink about putting his name on something so shady. Spence 0
Unforutunately I have to agree with the OP. I only played it in beta, but there was plenty of times when the game would minraise with an A or K on a pretty crappy board then call on the turn with nothing. It's a valid tactic in limit, but it has much less validity in no limit holdem when the bets are pot sized.I was really hoping this game would play closer to the way humans play after playing against pokibot's, but it just doesn't.If it was limit I'm POSITIVE this game would be 100% legit, but it really has a tough time discerning bet amounts.Im a lil tipsy so if this doesn't make sense i'm sorry.Just my 2 cents, just sayin' etc etc
zsta2k6 0
1st, every time there has been a split pot situation in stacked when I have played, it has awarded the pot correctly.2nd, as far as I know, Poki was set up primarily for limit holdem, correct me if I'm wrong.but, that being said, I was slightly disappointed with the game, with as many delays working on the network code, I would have expected a little more polish then was present in the game. It doesnt help that the most people I've seen online is about 50... obviously needing months of work on the network codeside note: Why the hell is it that everyone comes here to ***** about stacked.... go tell myelyn media, or gaming communities... but dont come here and post this **** in the wrong section you damn fool. I mean DN is getting flamed for not winning every tournament so why not right?I didn't come in 1st on my first two MTT's, nor did I say that I did. I had the problem saving the game after those two tournaments, which was particularly annoying because how much time I had to spend to win them, vs. the times I busted out early and could just turn the Xbox off. The problem is not only that it happened, but the Technical Support team wrote back to my complaint explaining that it is INTENDED to happen that way. So the issue is that Daniel put his name on a game that is supposed to deliver realistic casino poker, but the rules that it uses concerning split pots are not used in any casinos in North America, as far as I know. Also, for anyone who is saying that video games or poker simulations are a waste of time, I bought Stacked because I was having sugery this weekend and would be recovering at my parents house under medication. Needless to say, I don't feel too up to playing money poker this weekend, and I have lots of time to kill. I was really looking forward to this game, especially as something to play when I am just not able to play money poker at my best. I paid for what I was thinking would be -the- best poker video game out there, of course because Daniel is behind it, he is such a great poker player, and I know he loves to play video games.
