Yeah, It's about that time. I've been playing live quite a bit in foxwoods and local tournies / cash games, and am doing very well. I'm a much better live player than online, and don't really burnout like I tend to do online. I have no doubt I'll beat the 2/5 or 5/5 games easily from watching live@thebike, and will play 5/10 after I get my feet a little wetter.Move will be happening in 2 months, and I'm just looking for ideas for good deals, roomates that are needed etc. Thanks in advance for taking time to do the poll and reply.

Will cost more to live in LA. Traffic sucks here. Not sure why you wouldnt pick Vegas :club: Free drinks, buffets, overall selection of casinos. To me, LA is the place you come visit for a week and then move on :)Good luck either way.

Vegas lifestyle is fast as is LA but in La u can get involved in other things if poker isnt really working out. I would choose LA if it was me but, its all about taste.

I would say this is a no-brainer. Vegas is gonna have all levels of players. Plenty of tourists to be your dream fish, plenty of action no matter where you go, etc. Also, to the best of my knowledge Vegas has a lower cost of living, so I'd guess it's probably the better place to live as well.

The cost of living in Vegas is pretty decent depending on which side you are looking at. The crime rate in LA is higher, so whichever side of Vegas you choose, you'll probably still be safer there than living in LA. As far as action goes, LA is sick. It is the NLTH capital of the world. Both LA and Vegas have sick mixed games that seem to always be the juiciest games around. I would suggest visiting LA before you decide to move to either. Some people love it out there and end up living at the Bike or the Commerce, but it defiantly isn't for everyone. I was out there for the LAPC for a couple weeks playing 10/20 NLTH. I've never had so many pros at a table with me, and it's not cause that's a big game out there. There were atleast 20 or so tables of it going non stop. Long story short, I shipped if for around 30k and went back home with my tail between my legs.Best of luck on wherever you decide.

Definately Vegas....every single game out here is terrible, even the games filled with so called "regulars". I think I run into a good player once every 7-8 sessions, players are just terrible out here local or not. I have a buddy who is out here by himself and he may need a roommate, if your interested. Its in the Summerlin area too, so its very close to Red Rock which has good NL games, especially the 2/5 NL, and the 4/8 O8 is the best in town. Then on the weekends you can pretty much pick and choose any casino anywhere to find a good game. Pretty much if you move here you'll always be able to get an easy game to beat.

Overall the games are probably better in L A. And they have that big pond that everyone seems to like. And the weather is nice (but you won't see much of that being a serious player and all). But that's about it.The traffic is just appalling. The pollution is even worse. Taxes, crime, housing, cost of living, all insane in LA.Water shortages, power shortages, etc.Vegas has many of the LA problems too, but much less so IMO. And if you live in Vegas, it's just a short hop to L A if need be.I dunno....I'd have to lean towards Vegas bro.If you are wrong you can always move to L A.GL. :club:

What the hell, people? I used to live in Santa Monica right off the beach and it was SWEET. Zero commute, great climate, excellent symphony, opera, museums, and theater; awesome educational opportunities (employer paid tuition for 3 years of PhD), great restaurants, on and on. The quality of life in Vegas is pretty sh*tty in comparison. Not to mention it's f*cking depressing being surrounded by nothing but hollow-eyed deadbeat degenerates and teeming hordes of loudmouthed Midwesterners with sweaty, sunburned, jiggling fat rolls as far as the eye can see, 24/7. **** Vegas. LOL

Yeah I would definitely be interested in getting a roomate. Should I PM you for details etc?I won't be too bothersome that I can guarantee, will be at the casino the vast majority of the time.

I've never been there, but it seems like the cost of living would be very - EV in LA.I'd pick Vegas, but I would need frequent trips to the coast. I need the ocean.Good luck in whichever you choose..............Oh, to be young and free of responsibilities again :club:

LOL. Wow. I don't know where to start. No commute from santa monica to commerce/bicycle/hustler? Santa Monica isn't the cleanest town lol. Museums/art/theater, I agree with you there, LA has that more than vegas. I didn't read if OP wanted education opportunities. Restaurants are plentiful out here in Vegas, I guarantee, you could eat a new place every week. I don't know what hotels you hang out at to see these type of people...maybe Circus Circus/Stratosphere/Tuscany Suites? Try going to bellagio or walking around Caesars Palace, there are TONS of beautiful people out here. Santa Monica is FULL of bums. Loudmouthed, drunk people, yeah they're out here. Wow. LOL.
