Let's Give Espn A Little More Flexibility.. Suggestions Welcome
Sonicpb replied to Cappy37's topic in General Poker Forum
If you listen to the interviews of a lot of players you'd notice that they do very much so care about being on a TV table. Lots of players choose which NLTH crap shoots they are going to play based on whether or not that tourney will be televised. I think the lack of television coverage is a huge reason why the WSOP Circuit events didn't get nearly the turn outs this year that they did last year. And changing any game to a different one for the sake of the television audience is total BS. Even if they announce it ahead of time, it is really lame. The WSOP should be about poker tournaments a -
I agree that the outcome seems improbable, but I would still be interested to see your progress along the way. As far as hitting that goal goes, if you really don't care about the money involved and you simply want to either hit the 20k mark or go bust, cash games are a much better way to go. While there is a ton more variance or luck involved, it is more reasonable considering the time frame. You would have to play an insane amount of volume to get there playing SNGs. And if you are relying on winning a MTT, then you are relying on luck all the same. My two cents for anyone that wants to

Jesus Christ, you people and your f_cking post counts. How does replying to every thread with a short one liner make you smarter than other players?Let me be the first non-b@stard-@ss-b@stard to say: Welcome to the FCP forums.you're best bet is to move over to 2+2 if you want anything but assholes telling you that you are a donk.that said, you're a donk. Not really, but it seems dumb to be making moves like this so early.

I know you didn't mention him, but I think Brian "sbruby" Townsend has to have one of the biggest all-poker-related bankrolls. He is up around 2m online from last month and 2m live this month. Plus, I know he has good bankroll management, which would suggest that unlike other big names, he can afford to play at the stakes he is at.

can't stay up that late, hang over and a job fair tomorrow. How about a MT SNG?edit: how about one of these 45 man SNGs?

I'll play for a little while. I drank a sixer of those bacardi mojito drinks and they are NASTY. Yes, they are total b*tch drinks, but I was drunk when I bought them, so..... table name

Brian is up over a mil this month online. He has pretty good bankroll management too, so I wouldn't be worried about him just yet.

The 25/50 has been pretty good over at the B-Lauge. Some pretty sick deep stack action. My bud was playing 1,000 BBs deep over there and was covered by a few people at the table.

this was truely a dissapointment.

I highly recommend the book. I think it is great even for beginners since it gives a good insight into what it takes to be a poker pro. I prefer this type of book over a poker strategy book since most of those seem to take a very mechanical approach to poker.

I agree with the capping the nuts strat. for this type of game (being that the play is probably sub standard). The only exception to this is if the nut low is a one liner. Say the board reads A345J, so now anyone with a 2 and either an A, 3, 4, or a 5 to go with it also has the nut low. Besides this exception, everyone seems to be on the ball with the math.

Another Great Interview With Dn, Idiots Here, Behave!

Jebus, who are you talking to back and forth? I feel like I am on a bad date with a ***** that won't stfu. Granted you're complaint about one liners or people that quote one liners is kinda valid, I would rather read those than a rant. Plus those one liners boost their post count, which in an online forum is equivalent to penis size. -
I played a bunch at the Commerce during the LAPC and they seemed to never card anyone. I get carded all the time buying beer or playing in even the 18 and up casinos, but never once was I approached for the 2 weeks I was out there. Plus there are tons of little asian kids that look about 16 max and I never saw one of them get carded. Maybe they were more lax during the LAPC, but I wouldn't worry about it if you played out there.
